    For those film snobs that don't get it. Dust is nothing more than a reposter. Stop disrespecting small artists. The fight scenes were so hard to watch but they were not terrible just super fake.
    The acting was ok. And the graphics and design or the story was beyond amazing.
    These are low budget small cast films and they make wonders with what they have. Stop disrespecting the artists.

      i think it's an issue of consistency. the dialog and action pieces stand out so much, because they are on a much lower level than some of the tracking and vfx work, especially the creative hand UI. This is true of all creative visual work, the human eye/mind will always catch drastically different levels of quality. If everything is more consistent the piece is much more cohesive. It is a shame that we focus on the negative aspects, but I think this work could have benefited from balancing out the creative allocation and given more time to polish the rougher parts of the experience.

    I saw something like this once where they used this on terminally ill and badly disabled people, so they could upload consciousness to a platform and continue on if they liked. It led to fights between couples/family members, because some people opted to use it, and others opted to just go on and die. It was interesting. I would think tech like this could be used on folks who are in situations like that--with consent forms--as a method of offering them something as an option to pure nonexistence.

    This short film is brilliant because it is believable that a sister would rescue her sister so they can enjoy life in the real world and then she finds out something more sinister is going on. Brilliant film and you wouldn't know they were acting as it is so real. Haha.

    • @mrblaque
      @mrblaque 5 лет назад

      If this was actually believable, it would have been over after they met the first group of guards. Three guards facing 1 intruder and they fight one at a time and stand there as another guard is killed.
      Really? This was like a bad anime.

    • @arnolddalby5552

      @@mrblaque Actually it gave the impression that they didn't want them to leave, so it was realistic.

    I agree with the other comments that this is not a very polished film but, I still gave it a like because I appreciate the final product. I was able to follow the story, as well as the action, and I watched it through to the end. I appreciate the effort that went into making this film and I hope that all the filmmakers, production staff and actors continue to make films and develop their skills. A big “thumbs up” for your effort....I look forward to seeing your next film.

    I can overlook the fight scene choreography, but I absolutely hate fight scenes where someone has an obvious weapon, but chooses not to use it, or freezes. Sister had so many opportunities to just use the stick as a stick and beat up the "bad guys", but nope, froze because it ain't shooting out pixie dust... I mean, you can still use a gun without bullets to pistol whip the hell out of someone... I also don't understand why there isn't physical, actual people or security measures in place to keep people from physically removing the subjects from the lab. If we are to assume they're still in the simulation, wouldn't the two who went to rescue know what's going on?

    While maybe the acting or visuals or whatever wasn't the best, I liked the concept of how cults in the future might use virtual reality to dupe unsuspecting followers. Parallels could be made between this film and Johnny Mnemonic (especially with Big Pharma). I feel like people are focusing too much on the specifics of what was arguably a pretty good concept. And that whole time, they show Harper coming to terms with her indoctrination in what can be seen as a realistic portrayal of deprogramming. Also, the fact that the word used to describe erasing indoctrination is "deprogramming" is an irony that I hope is not lost on all of you.

    The fight scenes felt like old Power Rangers style, clunky and not very thought out.
    The sister being rescued wasnt worth bothering, I was hoping she died anyway, the actress didnt convey any emotion to make me want her to survive, the others werent that much better tbh, but I did want the red head to make it so that was something.

    When are evil henchmen going to ever learn to rush someone all at once, instead of one at a time.
    Think I should start up an evil henchmen academy.

    Excellent. I liked this short a lot. The fight scenes are fine, the person playing Ty clearly has talent and skill, and though the rest of the scenes my not be "A level Hollywood" they really aren't that bad. When I read the comments I expected something totally different than what I saw, so I am not sure what the fuss is about. Unless some people have a hard time watching a woman kicking a lot of @$$, man-babies? IDK. Any way this one is totally worth a watch.
