Thank you so much for this. I had an issue where I got Canada Computers to install my card into my PC (they were building me a new PC anyways) but my PC would not detect three card! I did a lot of research on Google and RUclips but your video was the most helpful! Turns out they installed it into the smaller PCIE slot and one I changed that and reinstalled the drivers, we were good to go!

Thanks for the help man, I'm using Asus Z370-E Strix and all PCI-E slots are 3.0 in that, but the card wasn't working on the smaller 1x slot. So I installed the card in bigger 4x slot and it worked like a charm. Your video helped.

I installed the HD60 Pro capture card in an HP tower that had only a PCIe1 2.0 slot available. Before installing the card I downloaded the 4K software and drivers for the card, then installed the card. It worked perfectly on startup. I am using the card with a PTZ camera running at 1080p 60FPS, and it works flawlessly streaming with vMix. I also noted that Elgato states in the specs for the HD60 pro that it will work in game capture mode with a PCIe1/4/16 2.0 slot or better. @seidwalk I'm not sure why your card would not work with a 2.0 slot. Maybe the slot was defective.

im super glad you made a video for this. i had the same issue after upgrading my motherboard and processor. turns out all of my pcie x1 slots were 2.0 and only my two x16 slots were 3.0. i thought my elgato had died from not being used or something. sucks to have to take up my only other x16 but oh well im not planning on sli any time soon
I recently reset my entire pc to enable Raid mode which was a big struggle lol but after all set up I tried running it and suddenly it wasnt, I completely forgot to install the drivers so I appreciate it lol
Totally doesn't make sense why they would give the card itself a PCIe 1x slot connector, but force you onto a PCIe 3.0 16x connection. Its not that hard to dummy out the unused pins on a 16x male connector on the card. -.- They should have realized this. Update: GIGABYTE Z270X-UD5 now working WITHOUT the riser. The Windows 7 drivers require a patch for Game Capture HD. I downloaded the latest driver from the Elgato website for the HD60 S, since that's the card I just bought, and later on I'll download the software for as well, before I even plug the damn card in. However, I've definitely heard about problems with Ryzen AM4 motherboards, and this is rather concerning.
I followed your steps and I am still having issues. In my device manager, there is a yellow hazard icon next to my game capture hd60 pro. When I click on it, it says, "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)". Any known fixes for this? Thanks.
Do I need the Windows 10 to use the HD60 PRO? For me I have the HD 60 Pro Installed on the first PCIe slot but when I wire up my HDMI connections, the screen is just black and I get nothing? Any ideas?

when you go to device manager, do you any elgato devices listed? under video and sound? It would be elgato game capture and sound capture? also what version of windows are you using?
Since you are using windows 7, Youll need to use the windows 7 drivers not the drivers from the game capture software. If these drivers do not work for you then unfortunately youll have to contact elgato to get the link that is not listed on their forum. You can also try uninstalling and reinstalling the software one more time but make sure you restart before launching the software. this could fix the issue. So I have it all hooked up and I'm wanting to record the screen of the PC that the hd60 pro is in, the monitor works I can see my screen but in the elgato program it says "detecting signal"

I'm honestly on my end. I tried everything. I've been at it for 10 hours. I tried every fix out there, non of them work. Finally I got picture of my playstation stuff on my other screen, but the program still says no capture device found. I have tried the 16x slot .. I have tried updating, I have even tried updating windows 7. I don't know what the hell to do anymore. This ruins my streaming schedule and my mood.
Okay no worries we will get to the bottom of this😁 So we know you have hdcp turned off and you have it plugged into a x16 slot. Can you try unplugging it and then plugging it in again? And ensure the device is getting power. After this go to device manager and look for sound, video, and game controllers and see if the elgato is listed in the list. DO NOT LAUNCH THE GAME CAPTURE. Once you verify it is listed there launch the capture Check for updates and update the drivers if they need it. then launch your PlayStation. Also how many x16 slots do you have? You may have to use the other slot. Let me know how this goes. If it doesn't work we can try something else.
I have 2. The other slot is taken by my graphic card. It was all listed up there before I opened up the program. There were no updates and my playstation screen was black until I downloaded the extra drivers. I hoped it would work then since I finally had picture. (before that I thought my Mainboard was the problem). Though still nothing in the software itself. I will repeat what you said tomorrow again, step after step. SEIDWALK I'm using an asus prime x370. I had tried it in all three of the pcie X1 slots and none of them worked. I switched my gpu to another x16 slot then put the capture card in the top x16 slot and it finally worked. So I put my gpu back in the top slot then put the cap card in the second x16 slot and it still works. So I'm just going to leave it this way until I find a way to get it working via pcie x1 slot
Yea, It has to be a x16 slot in order to work. For some reason the cards will not work in the x1 slots. I'm not sure if i mentioned that in the video. If not I'll update it . All in all I am glad you got it working Kalil!
haven't tried the x16 slot, only the pcie x1 slots, i have asus z370 gaming, gonna edit it later if it works with the x16, it worked but when i start the pc and i see my desktop, it blinks like black screen for 2 seconds just 2 times is it normal?
I tried mine in a 3.0 slot and it seemed like my graphics card wasn't working. Anyone else have this problem? Computer would load, but no output was sent to my monitor.
Sorry It needs to be plugged into a slot 2.0 in order to work. I thought I said that but i guess not LOL MY bad. If you plug it into the 2.0 it will work. or should work for you.

Hey what motherboard are you using? No device detected generally means you are have it plugged int the wrong pcI e slot.

I switched my gpu to another x16 slot then put the capture card in the top x16 slot and it finally worked. So I put my gpu back in the top slot then put the cap card in the second x16 slot and it still works. So I'm just going to leave it this way until I find a way to get it working via pcie x1 slot
Yea, It has to be a x16 slot in order to work. For some reason the cards will not work in the x1 slots. I'm not sure if i mentioned that in the video. If not I'll update it . All in all I am glad you got it working Kalil!
haven't tried the x16 slot, only the pcie x1 slots, i have asus z370 gaming, gonna edit it later if it works with the x16, it worked but when i start the pc and i see my desktop, it blinks like black screen for 2 seconds just 2 times is it normal?

Maybe the only solution is Elgato to change the capture card :(

on the site it says it requires pcie 2.0 or better but you saay it doesnt work with that? because i have a pcie 2.0 :(
Sorry It needs to be plugged into a slot 2.0 in order to work. I thought I said that but i guess not LOL MY bad. If you plug it into the 2.0 it will work. or should work for you.
When i made this video The site did not have to 2.0 requirement listed.
