Another thing that'll help your pool if you buy the large pool noodles and slice them so that you can place it over the top rail of your pool all the way around they will protect the Sun from dry rotting the liner wear it wraps the top rail
You can't beat a sand filter saltwater pump for a pool. It's so easy to maintain and very inexpensive. If you suck at keeping a pool clear and chemically balanced, you need saltwater system. Speaking from experience.
Yeah, I did have air in the pump for this video - I am not sure what I had done right before recording but we had probably all been swimming/splashing and stuff and maybe allowed some air in there 😂
First time pool newbie, we just installed ours and are having some difficulty. Did you add the Cynauric Acid ? If so, how did you put it in? How often do you backwash/rinse? Do you have a general pool use video? Sorry for all the questions!
Welcome to the world of pools! 😂 I did not add anything to my pool other than salt as I did a salt water system. I do know that if you are adding the Acid that it should be mixed with water and then added to the pool, spreading it across all areas as you put it in. I backwash and rinse the sand filter about once per month...I generally do this at the same time that I clean/maintain the saltwater elements for my system. I do not currently have a general use pool video...but that is not a bad idea at all!
Depending on what type of element your system uses, Distilled White Vinegar seems to work great to clean the ones in our system! Our style looks like little plates that are black or grey - build up will occur on them and we soak them in the vinegar for a couple of hours and it washes right off! You will feel the salt build up on the side walls or on any lights you may add, it comes off pretty easily by wiping it down occasionally - when I vacuum the pool is usually use the pool head with brushes to wipe down the side walls.
Hey friend, I just love your pool videos ❤. I have a question. I just bought the same pool and is setting it up next week. do you or don't recommend going to the wide mouth skimmer.I bought a surface skimmer and thought about using my extra pump for a second surface skimmer your thoughts my friend.I really don't want to cut my first pool Thanks for the video.
@@brickeyj123 if I were to do it again, I would just go with the surface skimmer. I would use the pump that you have for your skimmer as it will work great for that. The wide mouth skimmer is awesome...but it definitely was a scary process and I feel that the surface skimmer would work as well after having used the widemouth skimmer for the past two seasons.
Love your vids i have a question, i just bought a 22x12x 48 best way pool, i want add a wide mouth skimmer like you have i checked the link, but it dont say if it comes with the basket, vacuum adapter etc does it comes with it or is it a replacement for existing one?? Woukd appreciate info, and love the juggalo tatt!!
Thanks for watching! The skimmer comes with the skimmer and the basket for the skimmer, but I believe that I had to buy the adapter for the vacuum separately. I appreciate the comment for the vid (and tattoo!) 👍

@@Amundred I have a round above-ground pool like yours and I did it on mine I was going to show you a picture but it won't allow me to post it
@@robertpatterson149 I can see how the pool noodle thing would be beneficial! So simple too! I love it!

Absolutely!
You have air in yoir pump. It should be completely filled with water. Improves suction and output

@@Amundred I have the salt water system as well - it mentioned adding the acid but I was unsure.
Any other tips & tricks for the saltwater system?

Half the links don't work anymore. Where can I find the LED lights?
I'll need to go through and update the links!
Here are the lights:
