      please try out some other earbuds (taotronics, kz for some examples), there are equally priced products which spend less on marketing that feel far less cheap and have far better sound quality, raycons are terrible, please stop doing business with them as their ad reads sound like endorsement and I doubt you truly would endorse them if money wasn't changing hands, for such an well respected and honest content created, these ad reads just feel so out of character and dishonest

I had been using royal capacitor up to that point, but after spending hours in one run I decided to pick up blue meteor just to see what would happen. my game became a slideshow immediately and then just stopped all together after a few seconds. my friend who I was playing with recounted that the blue meteors formed a line chasing him before eventually killing him and ending the run... @@wakyblarg Some slowdown during very chaotic boss battles, but overall quite good. When it first launched early access on switch it was a slideshow, now it's pretty friggin' great TBH. The tilt aim makes it feel very toy-like and chill (in a good way) but still hard and addictive.

    • @Kekoapono
      @Kekoapono 4 года назад

      Glad to see it has some gyro aiming. I’m honestly baffled whenever developers don’t use gyro aiming after Nintendo showed how amazing that can be with Breath of the Wild. Same thing with PS4 games.

    • @HankIndieGames
      @HankIndieGames 4 года назад

      @@Kekoapono I agree. This should be the way forward, especially for shooters. Sticks take too long to turn and aim, a mouse is less comfortable for prolonged play, and VR takes expensive hardware and makes people sick. I think the Switch is on to something by combining a traditional controller (the Switch Pro controller is my favorite of the 4 various controllers I use) with motion control. Unfortunately, most 3rd party devs are adding the tilt control as an afterthought, if at all. Wolfenstein is a great example. New Colossus on switch is an excellent port and that much more fun with the tilt aim (but good God, Youngblood is a joke). However, there's a very useful lean mechanic in that game that's frankly a little awkward by default, you have to hold a shoulder button and stick direction while aiming with left trigger and shooting with right. Imagine how smooth this would be if you could just yaw (rotate) the controller to lean? Imagine how fun this would be in Rainbow Six Siege (not on switch but popular on the other consoles). I feel like nintendo got the memo and devs didn't. The fun part of VR is using your hands more, Someone like me wants that experience without wearing a big stupid thing on my head and being dead to the world. No shade on VR fans, my point is that there is a middle ground between traditional controls and newschool immersion, and the switch is *almost* there but the industry hasn't caught up.

    I always have this brewing in my head and I wanna express it now lol. When I played Warframe at first, I lauded it for it's liberal power level it gives to it's players, making you feel like a god. However, the game just turns into a grindy cheesefest as you get more overpowered and it stops getting challenging. They try to combat this by putting in scaling but it ultimately turns everything into oneshot bullet sponge.
    Then I found Risk of Rain 2 - like warframe, you start as a whimp and gather items to become a God. Difference is, Risk of Rain doesn't have any cheese mechanics, and all the insane shit you do is done by moving around and attacking and strategically using skills constantly, not like Warframe where you sit at one corner pressing the same button or just spamming e e e e e on a crowd. And not to mention, the heart pumping mega boss fights compared to Warframe's invulnerability phase bosses.
    I really feel RoR2 got the 'God' mechanic right, seeing that endgame is not you cheesing the game, but fighting your way with everything you got.

      Actually inspired some thoughts for the roguelike mode for Warframe, or a spinoff, could be fun.

    With every achievement and nearly 200 hours in the game I can easily say: you didn't even get into the meat of the game.
    The game is fantastic right of the start, it gets even better as you start to unlock the artifacts. They allow you to vastly change how the game is played.
    Are you still learning and want to do a few test runs to figure out combos? artifact of command, it lets you choose your items.
    Do you exclusively want to focus on the fight and you don't want to deal with chests? the artifact of sacrifice takes away chests and makes enemies drop items.
    want to turn it into a bullet time game? swarms double enemies and half their health.
    do you think the enemies are falling behind? evolution gives every enemy one item per stage.
    do you want to go for a low/no hit run? glass gives you 5x damage and 10% health.
    the amount of game variation just by throwing on a few modifiers is amazing.
    The alternate skills/attacks for the survivors can massively change their playstyles as well, acrid's poison can be changed to blight, which can kill and stack. that changes his go to loadout from occasionally using his ability to pushing it as much as possible.
    and finally if you're getting really good at the game and you want to do something harder you can play eclipse mode.
    it's solo only, always on monsoon (hard), and adds a new modifier each time you beat it on a character.
    and a final great thing about it is how clearly the devs just want you to have fun. the game isn't balanced for more than 4 people and it gets out of hand pretty quick, but with 2 simple console commands you can modify the maximum lobby size all the way up to 16.
    It really is one of my favourite games, from how seriously you can take it, to how much of a mess you can make it with some friends.

    As a quick note, there is no procedural generation for the maps in any way except item placement. The maps themselves are set and crafted. There won't be a rock where there wasnt one before.
    There are, however, alternate maps. Titanic plains and distant roost both have an alternate map. But those aren't procedural either, they're crafted maps as well.

    Probably one of my favorite co op games I've played in a long time next to Warframe. Its nice to see more people appreciating it more and more games like this.

    Skillup, I love your videos, I love that you are usually very honest and I feel you make genuine reviews, I also like your personality and your brothers and I watch a lot of laymen gaming too.
    This is why I am so disappointed that a lot of your videos are sponsored by Raycon, which is basically the raid shadow legends of earbuds. Theres a lot of information out there and Raycon is not a good quality product and It is not worth Its price. Its a product where all the money was spent into marketing and not into making a quality product.
    I dont really know how many people buy Raycons, specifically, because of your videos, It might be insignificant, in fact, the people who buy Raycons without further research might "deserve" to get ripped off. Obviously you dont force anybody to buy Raycons, but for me, It still gives a bad taste, because, while I think your content is genuine, I dont think your recommendation of Raycons is genuine too.
    I cant really tell you not to get sponsored and cant choose the sponsor for you, nor do I have the right to judge you, because of your sponsors, but I still hope you see this.

      In a world where youtube demonetises videos over random reasons, videos get copyright claimed over 1sec of sound etc. content creators often just cannot avoid sponsors as its a safe income except for the worst case scenario of channel deletion(which also happens more and more often). Keep in mind these are not future proof jobs so they can't just say, hey iam doing ok now so I would in a year...
      Overall I do understand your sentiment though. But if its Raycon or the random VPN services, the end result is the same I am afraid

    This game was made by aliens dude. Humans can't make shit like this. 30 hours into the game and I'm entering Zen mode every time I start a run. This is maximum gaming. Hardcore and spiritually rewarding.
