I can admit when I'm wrong. Before the pandemic, I was a staunch advocate for big pharma, for the CDC, and for government health initiatives. I would not have believed that any of those organizations would go to any length possible to push for something they knew was the opposite of the truth.
Similarly, I could not conceive of scientists who would push a concept, evolution in this case, that they could clearly see was fatally flawed just to keep their jobs and research money flowing. I was wrong. Now I am certain that some scientists will trade truth for dollars.

When my wife was pregnant, she was considered high risk, so we would go in for check ups and ultrasounds every other week to ensure the health of the baby. During this time, I saw the detailed growth of my child, and it is just astonishing to consider the countless developmental steps, the chemical dependencies for their growth, not to mention my wife's body was providing the nutrients and the bloodflow to their body.
There is no way that this level of sophistication and stability could be achieved in the lifespan of this earth thru random search processes.

That’s so true. I was reading a lot about different things: crystals, meditation, spiritual books about death, history books, society books, etc. I believe the 2024 campaign got me closer to God. I had to ask myself why is the world so sick? Then I started to see who was mainly behind it all and it was the Democratic Party. Both parties aren’t perfect but I realized who was behind the issues I was having. So as I started to dig, it pointed me to God and God told me to read His Word. Now I can’t put the book down. I take it everywhere I go and I haven’t been able to read none of the books I bought over the summer. Once we start reading the Word, we live a different life. I don’t see how ppl can read the Word, pray, exercise, eat right and still not know God and Jesus our Lord and Savior.

I took biochem courses and worked in a bacterial genetics research lab in college. This guest explained exactly how I feel. How the very first molecules spontaneously found a way to go against entropy and become a complex structure that has a function seems impossible to me. Micro evolution happens on earth (e.g. dogs from wolves), but if you trace the theory of evolution back to those very first molecules that started life, it takes more faith to believe that random molecules organized themselves into something complex that can replicate itself and perform functions than it does to believe that a higher intelligence created it all and seeded the earth. When I started to see how insanely complex the world of biochem is inside the cell, my faith in God grew stronger.

When I started working in a lab and was learning microbiology and physiology and just basically everything about the human, my dad asked me one day so you believe in God now that you see what's in front of you as if it was going to prove him right about evolution 🤣 I said NO just the opposite!! While also being engineered to a 100% perfect process. Nothing ever replicated by humans is perfect. But somehow microbiology is. The Mathematics of microbiology is parallel to astrophysics. The probability of primordial soup that with enough time will perfectly develop into life is so low compared to fine tuned design.
As a designer that began to study permaculture and then started a garden, I could not help but noticing the intelligent design all around me. I can't imagine that anyone that works with plants could be an athiest.
Exactly, the golden ratio for one, plants, trees, and even slime molds communicating, the complex diversity of plants and animals and their ability to adapt to changing environments, the shear tenacity of life alone, it's far too complex to have just happened..
I grow plants as well, 2 children, and 1 on the way for this summer, I thank God daily for life, truly grateful to witness the life around me daily.

It's so good to hear a biochemist as the question, "how do you go from single cell life to multi cell life." I feel that's a particular line of questioning people tend to skip over, and one i like to ask.
There are many lines of questioning that evolution can't answer.
Especially when water is capable of destroying bonds between polypeptides and the like, aka hydrolysis. Some are hydrophobic, while others will be annihilated in the presence of water. If a cell manages to develop a membrane, it's effectively isolated itself from the environment... yet it also needs the ability to intake material and expel waste, or otherwise it starves, thus it requires controlled openings/exits. Ripping apart the cell wall, particularly of a single cell life form... would be catastrophic. Like a space station, puncturing the hull leads to a rapid and catastrophic vacuum ripping everything apart and scattering everything and ejects objects at high speed. Single cell life managing to do the impossible by existing, and then somehow developing the ability to split a copy of itself off without accidently shuffling too many vital functions over to one side, or outright ripping itself open...
From a DNA level, there is no pathway for DNA to gain genetic information. Natural selection results in less genetic information, as the lesser organism's DNA is lost because it fails to reproduce.

It's estimated that the likelihood of a strand of DNA forming on its own in in the neighborhood of 1 out of 10 to the 78,000th power. The number of seconds in 15 billion years is only 4.73 x 10 to the 17th power. Mathematically we could not evolve. A likelihood that a bacteria could randomly form is 1 out of 10 to the 340,000,000 th power.

If both male and female are not fully reproductive capable within the lifetime of a mutated species ...evolution fails. If the heart, lungs and brain are not imnediately fully formed and working the mammal dies within 3 minutes. I remember learning details of nerves sending signals and the signals are electrical and interpreted by the brain that causes signals back to the body as response. I thought: how? @scillyautomatic Natural selection isn't random. It's driven by differential reproductive probabilities. Over an entire population the larger probability of reproduction will almost always win out. It's the same reason casinos win money on roulette in the long run. Any given spin may lose for the house but the green 0 and 00 give the house a long term unbeatable 5% advantage.
Fascinating. This gentleman's scientific commentary brings back my very minimal biology education and takes it so much further. His logic based upon real science forces a reasonable person to admit that a Designer is the only answer to this amazing world we live in.
That's all very interesting. For me a step further and the ultimate proof of design is the fact that we are rational creatures at all. Every evolutionist argues using the intelligence of their mind that their brain did not require intelligent design. Its wildly accepted that the human brain is the most complex object ever discovered, much of its functionality not understood, we still do not know how the brain stores memories but according to evolution molecules without the ability to 'think' designed it by accident with no intent or purpose and miraculously endowed the human brain to comprehend abstract concepts that the molecules constructing the brain are not even aware of. I always laugh when an evolutionist declares any explanation regarding God with 'it makes no sense', and I 'think' correct for a brain not designed and a product of undirected chemical processes, if evolution were true, none of your thoughts would make any sense.
Indeed, complex interdependent teleologically suffused systems and molecules cannot arise de novo through any mechanism that we know of. Mutations and natural selection do not CREATE things in the first place, although they can cause change in what already exists. What exists is impossible to arise spontaneously.

Nothing grows and duplicates without nutrients. DNA is the building plan and owner/developer, RNA is the contractor and workers, mitochondria is the fuel and money. Vitamins and minerals, protein, sugars and fats are the materials.

When I was in high school I was obsessed with biology and chemistry; thought Nature invented the coolest paths to make us and everything around us... then when I studied and learned more about how DNA works and how micro-cells can communicate and create entire language strings in the forms of proteins, I KNEW we were designed.
I started to get WILD spiritual experiences (like forced astral projection), my intuition felt like it quadrupled, my mind started to expand when I took away all the parameters that governed my mind and perception of Life, reality and all the information we digest within it. Basically when we stop pretending we know everything and take our minds out of an imaginary BOX (that we created for ourselves).. we bring the Mind to an equilibrium where it is not over stressed with trying to understand and make things happen. This allows more clear "vision" of the mind, and understanding of the unknown properties (like how biology is communicating via electrical signals and proteins).
Everything is already taken care of, including our Survival (we were created and we have not become extinct, quite the opposite). So whatever we are able to manufacture to over come Natural consequences, might not be favourable to the Creator who designed us,. it has already GUARANTEED our Survival. As this design was to enjoy and experience a short temporary life time (shelf life). Why worry about all the details in your short life time; when you won't ever compare to the intellect and creativity of the One(s) who put you here in the first place?
Basically telling yourself that you are special and the centre of the universe because nothing evolved like we did anywhere in infinity. This has consequences on perception and the structure of the Mind (a person's thought generator). What a childish perception of self and life; "there can't be a Creator because dogs and cats evolved from bigger dogs and cats" (that's degenerate/backwards evolution).
When you take away the barriers; the mind can "See" more clearly. It's as if people think in a linear-way like counting from 1 to 9. But when you break down those mental barriers, you are no longer linear following 1 step to the next; your mind can already see "beyond the curve" so to speak; and thus understand intuitively without needing to understand all the micro details. Because the bottom line; WE ARE DESIGNED, meaning we are Guarded, Watched, Taken care of for the most part. Nothing new under the Sun. So whatever we invent, is insignificant in the grand scheme.

Before one starts to discuss how life began and such, one should first define exactly what life is. First, how can you define when something began or where it came from if everyone has a different definition of the subject. Second, one cannot define life in terms of chemical reactions and such for far too much can happen to fulfill those definitions via random reactions that can occur with low frequency over extraordinarily long time frames . A far better definition and the entire key to the argument is to define life as the ability to create information and then transfer that information to subsequent generations with complete fidelity. Lastly, when one realizes that life is all about information storage and its accurate replication and transmission to successive generations, the argument for God creating life becomes simple while all other options fail in obvious ways. In other words, it is easy to create proteins, fats, and all sorts of other things that could possibly lead to nascent enzymes and such in a primordial goo, but how does one allow for the information defining and allowing for the synthesis of that enzyme or whatever in subsequent generations?

I did an honours degree in anthropology, and spent a lot of time studying human evolution and the Stone Age. And what stuck out to me about evolutionary theory is that it's like, 10% facts and evidence, and 90% philosophy and interpretation. Which is very important given that we can't go back in time and witness this stuff, and we can't test it in a lab the way you can with non-historical sciences. Granted, this is also true for creationism, but when you realize this, it shifts your mindset and focus to review things in a different light.
Like with the mitochondria discussion, it's one thing to observe that mitochondria look a lot like these bacteria. It's quite another to describe how it came to be that our cells have mitochondria in them, and whether they were ever separate organisms from us or not. The basic observation of similarity has facts behind it; but the story you weave from that to say that at one time our cells did not have them and they became part of organisms by this or that process, that's almost entirely philosophy with no facts behind it except that initial observation. But evolutionists treat the mere existence of the facts as irrefutable proof that their interpretation (and the philosophical underpinnings of that interpretation) is correct.

Resident computer scientist here. I did a research project on protein folding and docking (similar to alphafold) and he greatly undersold how complex the processing mechanisms are in microbiology. Its insane.
Also, almost every term we use in microbiology is borrowed from computer science since it does the exact same stuff.

When one creates a chart of "shared features" it does not have to be a hierarchal relationship. In other words, something with fewer features than another does not mean the thing with fewer features preceded the thing with more features in time or development. A chart of shared features can more readily demonstrate a shared designer or creator. For example, paintings from the same artist share many of the same features; not just a signature.

Genes, chromosomes, proteins… sounds like biological computer code to me :-) I would think pretty tough to code systems without a coder :-) As a retired mechanical engineer, all the rapid disassemblies I witnessed, did not create a more advanced device or piece of hardware. Have you ever coded a genetic algorithm or a neural network? You just put in the rules and the intelligent thing then happens by itself using randomness. The same goes for evolution. There are the laws of physics, logic, mathematics. Then you run the experiment and due to those laws and randomness you get something intelligent.

Read "Evolution News" online for a great article by Jonathan McLatchie on the Eukaryotic Cell Cycle and the irreducible complexity of eukaryotic cell division. It's insanely complex how cells divide, even ignoring the regulatory mechanisms and the eventual differentiation of cells into specific cell types. The number of proteins and their function is amazing. That's just cell division.

A related thought is even the very formation of life itself has to meet an absurd amount of conceptual/functional criteria to simply persist, and much of the them adhere to a factory-like workflow. Personnel, the capacity to receive material, do something with it, transport it where necessary, make something according to an instruction set, make something according to a demand and not over produce, not use resources in a horribly wasteful manner, push the material down a conveyor line to other machines, general supply chain management, waste management, the capacity to deal with jamming, cleaning, stopping and resuming the production line, quality checking and the capacity to identify erroneous product and destroy it (and cells effectively produce 99.9+% pure product), and many other functions.
The degree of complexity of life just through concepts... and it "clearly just managed to" miraculously develop such a workflow is... well beyond absurdity. All without intelligence, all without any kind of mind behind it. And life effectively has to develop such functions ALL AT ONCE or it goes extinct, colossally MAGNIFYING the improbability of it. A completely blind process that develops a very concise, smooth operation, which produces virtually perfect and functional, useful product... even a thinking brain has great difficulty with such a thing.

Indeed, from a systems engineering pov it's crazy. The regulatory processes are completely ignored by biologists and chemists working on OOL. Dawkins has a very superficial and gross conception of life, since he is mainly looking at morphological characteristics between species and not at the cellular biology and physiology and immunology and all the interdependent phenomena.

There is a video of a preacher explaining how the peppered moth example was debunked years ago, yet they lied and kept it in the public schools' biology books. Basically the authors of the biology book manipulated the peppered moth illustration to , "help children grasp the idea of evolution."

Atheism is a trap. Look at the fruit it bares. Most atheist including myself at one point are on the brink of suicide or several steps away from it. Why?
