Hey Mike, l love your content. I’m 15 yrs old. I have my one landscaping company. I have 2 trucks, 2 employees and did about 75k this year without being able to drive. You’ve helped me be able to do this. Thanks!
Here in Arizona we sell our clients on winterseed during October. Most purchase the seeding and keeps us busy during the winter since the lawns stay green and keep growing. Also most projects I schedule for the winter months unless the client needs it done asap. Almost all landscape companies here stay super busy all year.
Great intro. Very impressed with the intention to detail in the past couple videos. Looking forward to each one. Just wanted to say thank you to the media team for making great content, allowing Mike’s knowledge to be presented in a digestible way
I am taking over my parents painting business and your videos have been very helpful! The business has little to no systems but lots of potential If you need painting for any of your locations I’ll be happy to help. We based in Central Florida. Thank you again! Keep up the great content!!! And good luck everyone
@@MikeAndes we don’t do any automobile paint but I can give you great prices for any interior or exterior paint at any of your locations. We know how important it is to make everything look good and id also love to work with such a renowned brand like Augusta

Tree Service owner here. Watch and learn from you tho I don't mow. Besides firewood, Christmas lights, trimming shrubs, bushes, have any more cold season jobs a man could do? We still cut some in the winter. Removals, trims, storm/ emergency work. Luckily my overhead is LOW, NO payments on equipment

Been trying to start my own mobile mechanic business. Trying to figure out all the permits and paperwork to get legit. These videos help motivate and give ideas for marketing, etc. Great stuff.
Hey, as an automotive tech that has been in the industry for almost three decades now, I could give you some thoughts if you care to hear them but basically, I would recommend that you go and watch a few of the other channels that are out there now that are doing exactly what you are talking about. There are a couple of them that I watch here and there but I just started watching them only a few months ago so I don't really remember the names off of the top of my head. I think one of them is quality Mobile Mechanics or something like that. Anyway, as far as business itself, most of the same rules will apply across the board with the majority of businesses whether you are a single person or have hundreds or thousands of employees and the main difference is just going to be scaling regarding the addition of employees and other things that might be needed along the way with that. But when it comes to the business itself and figuring out profit and losses, that's essentially the same as it's math plain and simple. As far as getting the proper permits and paperwork, obviously that is something that you would have to figure out for your particular area or radius that you want to cover so you can make sure that you're covered in all areas if you decide to go out of state or out of your county. I don't know if there are any specific channels out there for Mobile Mechanic businesses but I do know that there are a few good channels out there for people that do Automotive work in general and I think you should look into them so that you can get an idea of what some of these people are doing that are really good Automotive technicians. A few channels off of the top of my head are South Main Auto repair, Rain Man Ray's Auto repair, Powerstroke Tech with a-rod, Scotty kilmer, and there are some other ones but they are mainly Ford related so I won't get into that. The guy at South Main Auto Repair has a pretty good approach to diagnosing issues so I would definitely highly consider watching him.
I just started watching your videos and i just started my own junk removal company several weeks ago. Im based in Bellevue Washington im taking a few steps back til maybe spring time to go full throttle mean while im focused on the business side of things
Whatever business you decide to take on one bit of advice. Absolutely know the sales tax rate for EVERY customer you serve. You are responsible to collect the total amount. If you under charge you pay the shortage. You will get audited eventually. I got a sales tax audit this week. The man looked at every single invoice for last 3.5 years. I charged everyone the same rate. Tried to keep it simple. Now i am paying my customers sales tax. Audits suck. They go over everything including your purchases. If you buy something and didnt pay sales tax you will during the audit. If you were under charged sales tax for your area you will pay the difference. They dont give you credit if you over charge some customers too much sales tax. This is why I dont like owning a business. They do look at your bank statements so be 100 per ent honest, which i was.
Yea dude 8:24 my pnl statement is showing somewhat exactly what you mentioned. All the machine rentals, labor , diesel not to mention deposits we get usually go to materials
I love all your videos. Lawn care specific and mba4entreneur stuff. I’m in central NJ. Tons of landscapers, now Xmas light installers and pest control companies. With economy like it is has become race to bottom. My successful friends are becoming lean and mean and laying off anyone not producing big… There revenue is taking hits (I’m old and know a lot of experienced landscapers) many got into real estate flipping last 5 years and killed it. Now that is taking big hit… Suggestion: be lean fire anything not producing and that will increase chance of survival (no guarantee) just sayin..
@MikeAndes interesting hearing you explain how a purchased truck will go on your balance sheet. I was always wondering that mystery of where did all my money go?! Does this apply to truck loan payments as well or only when you buy a truck outright?
