Ukraine medevac: saving lives through solidarity

Since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the EU Civil Protection Mechanism has been coordinating medical evacuations of Ukrainian patients to receive specialised care in hospitals all across Europe.
The medical evacuations are supported by the EU Medevac Hub near the Ukrainian border in Rzeszów, Poland.
So far, over 2,300 patients have been transferred for treatment at hospitals in 21 European countries.
