I like how this comic dub develops the chemistry between Sonic and Blaze in this video. As it gives me flashbacks on both of their interactions since Sonic Rush. And Sydney Paige did an amazing job as Blaze The Cat as always.
This is by far my absolute and most favorite Sonic pairing of all time and the one pairing with Sonic that isn't Sally that doesn't feel forced. You don't have to change either of their personalities to see them together and I love how they both rival and compliment each other. Had me smiling all the way to the end
Ironic cuz Sonaze seems like the game version of Sonally; a free-spirited hero who likes to fool around with a dutiful princess who's no-nonsense. But both can't help but compete with each other, even if unintentionally.
Sally does not put the mission first. She broke up with sonic because "he was selfish" bro really went and said WHICH IS MORE IMPORTANT? THE ENTIRE WORLD OR ME
A lovely comic, style and character wise; both Blaze and Sonic are completely in character. VA work and the flow of the comic, particularly the sequence starting at 1:27, is amazing too. I'm not a big Sonic/Blaze shipper, but that ending with the flowers and how naturally their personalities complement each other, the appeal is certainly there.
I love how you can impersonate Sonic's voice, but with a twist to it. The same goes for the voice actress who did the voiceover for Blaze! On top of that you can do dynamics with your voice by adjusting your pitch without straining yourself. For the voice actress, I definitely liked how she not only imitated Blaze's personality, but she BECAME Blaze in this very comic. She's the kind of character where she's calm, collected, and isn't boisterous with her tone. I remember playing Sonic Rush AND Sonic Rush Adventure as a kid. It gave me nostalgia and joy simultaneously as I adore the game series and the characters altogether. Continue cultivating your gifts, you two!! Oh my gosh! This was amazing! You brought back so many childhood memories! I had a big smile on my face when Leaf Storm starting playing as they were running! The little chemistry dynamic was so sweet! I love how you also made them break the 4th wall at the end with “Act 2” and “Rush”. Great job!💙💜
