My take/experience with weapons. Basically you don't need anything close to the max. My main weapon is the ruby sword with life steal and storm bane. It's fast and you can use less essence to make chests full of them. For storm king destruction, just put destruction on a ruby sword and nothing else to save essence. Basically all you need is those two swords. For last part of storm king, brutes, etc, any crossbow is fine.
For storm king, I farm the initial spawns till I get to around 1100 essence and then just finish it asap. For dungeons, I try not to hit spawners so i get more essence and other loot.
The cyclone pickaxe charge doesn’t increase damage, just range. Furthermore if you want a quick full charge you don’t even need to throw it the full way; just throw it on charge level 1 and if you catch it it’ll be charge level 3

I use the sapphire/gold sword with zapping 3 damage 3 storm bane 3 lifesteal 3. I don't bother much with Forrest axes as i use my harvest vehicle with the activation balloons for harvesting wood.
Great video. I don't use the spear because of the issues. Also I think they will reduce the speed to fix it in an update. My go to is the crossbow with zapping life steal destruction and storm bane or damage especially for the storm king and dungeons
I often use a gold and copper cross bow, obsidian sword, gold axe and metal shield I manage to take down 3 Storm sick frost rollers with just a obsidian sword and a storm sick frost wolf as well
Definitely noticing the spear "locking out" sometimes, I thought it might be the usual lag, but it does seem to be different. Might try a dagger then.....
could be my luck but the dagger can produce insane critical damage by sneaking and attacking from behind. also Mr. crafty sir can you create a video on the best weapons for mini boss like brutes and golems, thank you!!
I never use the Mythic sword. If they considerably buffed the damage the special attack does then I would use it more. Personally I just make all of my weapons/tools sapphire and gold for max runes. The speed of a Ruby spear isn’t worth it imo. Kaboom did an interesting video where he tested out all the different weapons to see what DPS of all of them are.
I've started putting storm bane on my pick axe for storm wild gollums. Also, I've been sacrificing the destruction rune and using damage 3, storm bane 3, and zapping 3 on the gold and ruby swords you get from the dungeons and the storm king to save resources since I still have destruction on my sapphire and gold bows.
It does, but other rune combinations can be more fun to play with and you usually have gathered enough materials and essence to make a new weapon by the time your existing one breaks without a durability rune. Plus, with one villager assigned to the gem cutter and one assigned to the metal smelter they will provide you with more than enough materials to make plenty of the best weapons and tools!
I've been reading loads of rune books from the chests in the lost isles floating islands but they are not unlocking ANY rune. I only have zapping 1, how do i get better zapping? Or any new runes for that matter. The books aren't working, is that normal?? I only get like 20 essence from reading them
its too bad im only ever receiving ruby pickaxes as loot drops instead of anything else i actually love a sword with last chances, damage, and storm bane to minmax damage i use them until last chances kicks in then store it in a box to save up for storm king fight in the future once i have a ton i go in blades blazing

for me i really like having a top tier tool for everything so i have a storm crossbow (destruction,damage,unbreaking and the stock storm rune) a lighsaber and the mithic sword and pick (i use the mithic sword mainly as an axe but when im in a sticky situation and my lighsaber runs out i use the sword as a secondary) and for the last slot i usually have a stack of stormfruit nectar in my inventory i have multiple stacks of arrows and a cold and hot charm just in case for charms i equip the regen,health and storm charms (they are all max) i dont carry a movement item because i go everywhere with my custom vehicle or fast travel
I think the storm chaser village should be marked on your map after interacting with Kayden at any village. You might just need to keep traveling around your world until you find a storm which is really easy to spot from far away since I know I had to do both of these things on my day 1 Lego Fortnite survival world.
@ReeseHosgood found it 2 days ago. Other side of my main og world, after watching a crafty video, that showed the icon to look for. It was camouflage in with a bunch of markers from when I started a year ago. Thank you for the response.
I literally have 808 cut sapphire and so many shatterhorns i made a really big wood or banana farm that gives 400 wood and i made a full country literally i have nothing to do when i enter my world ot lags soo much
Instead of Destruction tier 3 for weapons (tools ok)- I rather put lifesteal tier 3 cause when defeating enemies it heals me up, saves on nectar/smoothie.

You only get one mithic each time you defeat the storm king

Also for charms, 3 regen charms is best. The storm charms don't help enough.
Also spear is way to glitchy and I hate using it.
The max weapon for mobbing is probably saffire sword with dmg, storm bane, lifesteal, zapping

The max just outputs the most damage, which ultimately means, less hits = faster kills

I use one shatterhorn dagger and two saphore crossbows for the glitch that has no reload and the storm fruit nector and the tropical fruit nector

The rest of the runes have to be unlocked with rune tomes from the storm dungeons.

I have the better compass for my equipment for navigation use. Does it matter anymore? I would like to switch it to the illuminator just unsure
Yep! Just use the Illuminator, they gave the compass in game permanently so you don’t need to equip it
