Owned and ridden all makes and types of bikes for nearly 45 years but... to me.... the Airheads are the best of all. On long journeys the mellow engine note and smoothness at speed are just sublime. Thanks for the film clip.....
I had an R100RS in the 80s. Very reliable and.comfortable. As a rider, the only real sound was a, 'tut, tut, tut,' sound from the valve tappets in the pots.

My R100RS turns 40 years old this month and still provides a unique riding experience every time I take her out
I love this video. Allways a good ride. Andreas 😊
Nothing quite like these Bikes. Sound, look & ride were all concocted in a dream. Long may they the dream last.
That sound !!.. glorious! ;)
Klasse 👍👍

The sound of the valve tappets is a very characteristic sound of these motorcycles
my mind would constantly be reminding me "it needs valve adjustement, go to see your mechanic!". So not for me @@hectormartinezroman7179
I have one from 1982
Reminds me of my '81 R100RT. My favorite and longest owned of all my bikes. Sadly too old and weak to ride now.
Hang in brother. You are not alone in that.
Never too old to ride the memory-rides you have built up in your mind my friend - Stay with them
Got a '90 mono - absolutely love it
Had a 78, 82 and still have a beautiful redone 88. It runs great at 156k miles and still turns heads. Not so much me though.
Hector... for the beauty of the bike alone. Subbed.. hello from Ireland😊
Need no more :)
So good!!!!!!!!!
I still own one from 82 with 100k km now. Never will sell it.
lovely, how is it on long rides and trips?
They are quite comfortable, economic all things considered, and fast
For me it´s a very comfortable motorcycle. There are many people who install the handlebar of the RT to avoid back problems
Dery
Typical BMW sound. Sounds like a dinosaur farting into a tin can.
