Probably thought it was a really ellaborate heist , if one person with a blue shirt and khakis stole something theyd have a hard time catching that one person amongst all of them
***** No it isn't. It's actually the exact opposite. Shoplifters don't get a hundred people together (including children and old people) dressed similar to store employees to shoplift a few hundred dollars each. If someone stole a $500 graphics card... wow... that's $5 each. And if everyone steals a $500 graphics card... they are almost certain to be caught. They are obviously drawing more attention to themselves. None have bags or backpacks. Finally, if this was some type of mass shoplifting ring, you'd have to convince a hundred people not to talk to the police. Absolutely no reason to think that dozens of people dressed similar to the company uniform are in anyway likely to be part of some criminal attempt to shoplift.
***** Four sure... I definitely believe that. However, when you start talking 20, 30, 50+ people it is pretty sure that you are going to get caught. I might be able to find three people who are trustworthy criminals... finding 50+ people willing to risk jail, spend days preparing a job, dividing the take by 50, etc. and trusting that one of them does tell the police, their girl friend, a co-worker, Twitter, etc. is pushing it.
wow its been a long time since a video went exactly as expected, the thought "I bet they have no idea how serious this is going to be" went through my head the moment i saw the thumbnail
Call 911? That's only for emergencies! Shouldn't call the emergency number over something like this. You can't arrest people who are exercising their freedom to be silly in public. Cops were nice, wish more cops had common sense and decency like this.
From what I heard, there are more cops per capita in NYC, and people don't take 911 as seriously as other places because of the large number of them. There are old episodes of COPS in NYC where they have like 40 officers for a relatively small sting, or 5 officers to handle a nuisance. I distinctly remember one from the 90s where someone had called to get out a bat that somehow flew into their apartment, and like 15 officers showed up.
You have no idea how DANGEROUS that was, with that many people wearing blue shirts.. you exposed the store to theft risks, and panic hazard, Employees were forced to put priority on theft and solicitation prevention, since a BestBuy pretender can give wrong information/ can be provided customer personal information, including credit cards etc. the worse case scenario if someone pulls a gun, in this crowd they can kill a bunch of people and disappear among the "same-clothed" population. DEFINE DANGEROUS
Dinoraptor101 You have to be _very_ careful pointing out criminal uses of civilian freedoms. Criminals might use free speech, for example, to talk to each other, and give each other secret orders. If we banned speech, we would be safe from that, but at what cost? You give very good reasons for why they should be on high alert. Of course it's okay to call in cops just to keep watch if you're scared, as long as they take no action until an actual crime is committed. In most places there are non-911 numbers you can call for that sort of thing, but I guess in NYC you just use 911 for everything. However it's pretty obvious here that they were way overreacting, as they were asking for the people to be arrested without there being any crime!
Dinoraptor101 Also why would a customer willingly give them there credit card when at the very beginning the leader specified to not tell people that they work there.
Edwin Huntington He meant that the best buy workers themselves didn't know that. They weren't in on the joke, so from their perspective it could have been a set up for credit card crime. Even if you're just a single person, I bet they keep an eye on you if you are wearing their uniform!
Cosmic Rave You don't have to. You could just go in. Grab a Graphics card. And head out. And to trick the employees they'd have the people wearing blue polo shirts cover the doors to make it look like there is an employee watching the door. But it's actually part of the heist. A pretty ingenious plan if you ask me. Except that it's not for a heist.
They called 911.... on people wearing blue polo shirts and khakis.... these idiots..... you don't call the police to arrest someone wearing a berry costume because "they're dressed the same as our produce." T_T some people

Grade A VCRs and Nokia's. Lol
Lol.. didn't know skinny fit was a thing back then (wish I had known)
I noticed as soon as i saw an xbox 360 on display, no big electronic stores have that , they usually either have ps4 or xbox one
I realized it when I saw the 360
so i cant go and wear a blue polo shirt in best buy? damn society is cruel af
I feel nostalgic while watching this.
Bestbuy is too serious do y’all never have any fun 😂
Sharlele Tea Room their in business to make money & not entertain underdeveloped mentalities.
Sphinx Rising you need to chill and stop being offensive
A prank is not the first thing that pops in your mind. Perhaps it was a distraction for people trying to rob the store. You never know.
Sphinx Rising hey have you heard of this show called rick and morty?
Sharlele Tea Room bestbuy is trash, i buy most of my things at target or walmart or online😂
I'm really disappointed the employees didn't see the humorous side of it. Can't believe the called emergency services!
It really is a loss prevention nightmare
Well that one girl on the walkie talkie when the person said check all bags and purses cause they're leaving said it was funny =P
BW022 Most successful shoplifting operations I have seen consist of four people or more, you'd be surprised.
The way the Best Buy employees were acting in the end reminded me of GameStop employees. Complaining about small stuff that’s not even bad. Lol.
I just realized how old this video is, as soon as they showed the TVs they had on display...
"they are hundreads over there" bro Im shook!😂
FASTER! Not smooth man , not smooth

“Wears blue shirt at Best Buy”
Employee: “call 911, the cops aren’t dealing with serious cases or anything”
wow its been a long time since a video went exactly as expected, the thought "I bet they have no idea how serious this is going to be" went through my head the moment i saw the thumbnail
A bunch of people enter a store wearing blue polos. Better call 911!
you have to watch out for those blue polos... XD
They probably thought it was gonna be some sort of heist... .-. U know? As in a robbery? Try to think outside of the box for once, k?
TekBird If it was a heist they'd be wearing masks to hide their identities. You had a good idea though. :)
TekBird did you work at best buy?
Cosmic Rave You don't have to. You could just go in. Grab a Graphics card. And head out. And to trick the employees they'd have the people wearing blue polo shirts cover the doors to make it look like there is an employee watching the door. But it's actually part of the heist. A pretty ingenious plan if you ask me. Except that it's not for a heist.
Really calling the damn cops lol. Very well done.
Meanwhile someone’s getting robbed.
They should've called the fashion police
omg I hate u now 😂😂
thank you for making me giggle
Yup they called the wrong unit 😏😂
They called 911.... on people wearing blue polo shirts and khakis.... these idiots..... you don't call the police to arrest someone wearing a berry costume because "they're dressed the same as our produce." T_T some people
Haley :P Personally, i would say you’re an absolute idiot if you don’t call the police.
Oh wait till you see geek squad this type of shit gets me worried for the new pussies of the earth
Advopar Sounds like the Episode of Longmire when that guy escaped from the courthouse and a bunch of people dressed the same way were waiting outside
“All 80 of us”… he brought a whole army!
