For broccoli, I would've picked, With the Fire on High or a foodie mystery.
😂God definitely has a sense of humor, you getting the broccoli! I loved your choice - perfect!❤
😂 I was so surprised! And stumped!
hahahahha broccoli!! I think I would have gone w/ a gardening theme but I totally think that broccoli like shape on the back of your book totally counts! I have just been blindly picking books off of my shelves. I really liked A Midnight Dance.. I think you will like it.
Love the cover of Five Feet Apart. The trees and flowers are gorgeous. Been wanting to read the book. Saw the movie and loved it. It was good but sad
So many of these books you shared had beautiful covers!
🥦😂
Broccoli!? 😂 Good choice for that one. I'm glad The Heir and the Spare made your tbr for the month.
You've been raving about that one for awhile, about time I get to it!
Emerald Windows was a great book. Broccoli or not! lol!
I love the broccoli emoji and what you chose! It's perfect. 😂
I loved Christy!❤
Lady Susan is SOOO unlike her main novels. Not one of my favs but I'm glad i read it and it did get my hackles up. 😂
Haha, I was sweating a bit when that one came up!
Hahaha! Loved the broccoli! I think you did a great job. Also, as the one who suggested the flamingo that you kinda also balked at, if you ever get that one, fear not! I figured there are lots of ways to go with it - pink theme, bird theme, tropical theme, beach theme, shrimp theme (you never know!), middle age (since some people get pranked with flamingos on their lawn when they turn 40), long legs, etc. Flexible interpretations are part of the fun of it! 😃
Tolkien’s shelf. 😂 You’re such a good cat mom.
Broccoli?! 🤨 Bwahaha!!!! Of COURSE it landed on that one! 🤣 Oh my, that back cover design REALLY looks like broccoli! That’s so funny! And I’ve never read a book where broccoli is a prominent part of the story. I’m not even sure I’ve read one that even HAS broccoli in it… 🤔
I really hope you read and enjoy all these books! 🥰
I was so surprised at the broccoli one popping up, the odds were low and yet there it was!
I was laughing so hard when you got the broccoli. I think Catherine was trying to stump you. That was a good one! You did good though. I do like you choosing books using the emojis. It's fun to watch.
I think she was trying to stump me too!
You did great finding a book with broccoli inspired stained glass!! 😂 🥦
Of course you'd get broccoli first!!! 😂 I think what you picked worked perfectly! It totally looks like broccoli!
Now every time I read a book I am going to be looking for broccoli 😂
Haha of course it chose broccoli 🥦😂. Your book is perfect!
😂 Right?! I was so surprised!
Oof, the broccoli one is hard! I probably would have picked a book with a green cover or a cover with some kind of plant on it.
I'm curious to hear what you think of A Midnight Dance. According to goodreads, it comes before The Lost Melody, so I was wanting to pick it up first, but I've heard no one talk about it to know if it's any good or not.
I feel like the kitchen front would work well for broccoli lol its a WWII homefront cooking competition.
Oh yeah! I've never heard of that one but it sounds like it would be a good option.
So fun! TBR games are so so fun!
Yes, I really enjoy picking my TBR this way!
I'm reading Jane Austen at Home for JAJ as well. The broccoli, lol. I like the one you chose and I think it works!
😂😂😂🥦🥦🥦 You did great!
😜 Glad I was able to find something, I was worried I wouldn't be able to!
You picked a good choice, if I was doing this prompt Broccoli for me would have to be a book abt a health nut 🤔 or something that’s a hard one!
That could have been a good way to go with broccoli!
The broccoli is hilarious!!!😂😂😂
Just killer!
The broccoli made me think of the Franklin story in which he hides the broccoli. I'm assuming it was a book. Looking briefly on my shelf, the one that made me think broccoli was a memoir called Moose about a young girl whose parents have her go to a nutritionist and"fat camp". I don't know what the book is like, but I'm sure broccoli is in there somewhere!
Lots of those books can fit into the book bingo board.
That book sounds like it would be a great pick for broccoli!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay 😆
I am excited about the Sherlock Holmes
I’m interested to see what you think of half a king! I have yet to read that one but I have read the first law trilogy and I think he is a really good writer!
Was totally waiting for Tolkien to come over and protest when you started filling his shelf with books. Love that you got broccoli. I have no idea what I would have chosen but I think the two books you chose worked well 😊
Haha, yeah, that is how Tolkien would normally act. He must have been somewhere else sleeping at the moment.
I laughed so hard when you got broccoli, the odds!! 😂😂
The book choice was perfect.
All your July picks sound good. Enjoy! ❤📚❤️
I was so surprised!
😂😂 OH my goodness, I was laughing hysterically when broccoli came up.
The book you picked works perfectly. The picture on the back definitely looks vegetal.
😂 That was a killer emoji!
I think the very green cover of your pick covers broccoli as would the book with the word garden. My opinion 😊
For broccoli you could do something with trees since they look like trees. 🌲
😂 The perks of having an author in the house… can you possibly add broccoli?
Haha, yes! Though she didn't finish her book fast enough, lol.
@@ChantelReadsAllDay I think I might have added something that will probably be good for me in the long run, but maybe wouldn’t be the first book I pick up. Probably nonfiction 🍽️ I love that you found it in the cover art so much 😂
Persuasion is so good!
It's my favorite of the Austen novels!
The Daughter of Arden series (Exile is the first of the series) does take place in the middle of a war between kingdoms. I enjoyed that series, so I’m excited to hear what you think!
I'm planning to read Lady Susan, The Watsons, and Sanditon!
I would love to get to all three but my goal is Lady Susan to start!
The odds were not in your favor with the emojii pick 😂
Haha, I can't believe that's how things landed!
A Midnight Dance is also (loosely) connected to The Lost Melody. You'll recognize someone from AMD in TLM once you're done. :D
Christy MIGHT be a five star read. I can't decide if you'll love it or not but most people really do.
What?! I had no idea those books were at all related, that's cool!
I hope Christy is a five star read!
Broccoli is good for you, so I'd have chosen a book that I thought would make a positive impact on me in some way. It's a stretch, but...
That's a good way to look at it!
I missed your TBR game !
Me too, I didn't even realize how much until I decided to do it again!
Lady Susan is GREAT! The most villainous of Austen’s leading ladies.
Good to know going in!
@@ChantelReadsAllDay it’s also really short and quick feeling compared to her others!
I've heard a book described as a "broccoli book" when it's something good for you but not fun. (Alrhough i like vegetables and don't like the anti‐vegetable pop culture narrative)
Broccoli is an important plot point in The Romance Recipe by Ruby Barrett
My next ballet book is A Lily in the Light by Kristen Fields
A Christian fantasy suggestion is the "A classic retold" series, I'm currently reading Break the Beast by Alison Tebo which is a Beowulf retelling, I've also read Unearth rhe Tides by Alyssa Zavalianos Which is a 20000 Leagues Under the Sea retelling (my fav so far but I own 5 more)
Ohhh that does look like broccoli
18:20 IIRC, the Rook's main character's adopted daughter was a vegan
How do you join the book club

I would want my power to be practical but in a different bent - I think I would want to supernaturally know & be able to meet the needs of others practically. A hospital bill, college $$, groceries or land to raise food on…
Ooh, that's such a great one, Deea!
I know I don’t have a book like that
If you’re looking for more Christian fiction fantasy, Once a Queen was pretty good.
Broccoli!? 😂 Good choice for that one. I'm glad The Heir and the Spare made your tbr for the month.
