I feel like if he saw Betty again, I think she would tell him it’s time to move on! All she ever wanted him was to be safe and happy. He would probably argue like “I can’t be happy without you!” Betty would tell him, but you can because even if I wasn’t golb, I could die someday and then what, would you do this all over again? Simon would then finally have a breakthrough moment and they would say sad but loving goodbyes and lead their separate lives. At least that’s my theory
Im thinking that with the flashbacks we see in the newest episodes, Betty always puts Simon first, but never the other way around. Maybe he’ll do something for her, becoming GOLB in her stead (thus keeping safe, since GOLB can’t die), and Betty gets to finally live her own life instead of devoting it to someone?
