I live just up the road in Sutton Coldfield and prefer to go into Erdington nowadays. There is a bigger range of shops and the people and much friendlier, than in Sutton.
I have lived in Erdington all my 59 years (live in my late parents house) I remember as a kid walking up grange road to Erdington with my mates to go shopping Spent all my money in Woolworths I used to meet my late mother in Owen Owen in the restaurant with her work colleagues There used to be offices above Burtons then My dad died in 2002 and it was a few years before since I went into Erdington so so over 25 years The high street was going down the pan with many dodgy shops covering up for drugs and spurious dealings I would not feel safe 🥴🥴☹️☹️😖😖🫤🫤😠😠👎👎🏴🏴
The last time I walked down Erdington High Street, there was a picture house on the left. My grandparents had a café in Station Road on the left after the bridge and we used to go to ABC every Saturday morning.
I was brought up on Balmoral Rd 1975-92 when I joined the Army, haven’t been back for years, Wilton Market and all the shops have changed. Shame about the fire damage to the church, thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Not a local anymore , bit my mom lived on gravelly hill erdington,, what a shithole. Xxx do not miss this place atall just my mother, iv grew up in birmingham, born and bread but the hi street no thanks
your lucky u did this when it wasnt quite busy dont recommend coming here when its packed because i go when it packed and u can hardly get around erdington

Thank you for watching. Glad you liked it.
Does anybody remember the club above Burtons.
Lived there a few months. Despite everything of crime news, not that bad
Great walk
Thank you.

Get your facts right, Erdington is NOT a town it is just a district of the City of Bimingham and a normal Birmingham Shopping street
