Great video. I think your tires are too small around. The smaller the tire, the more RPM's it has to do. It flexes as it rolls and that causes them to heat up. I would go with a taller tire if you can. If it's not that, it's probably from overloading or going faster than the tire allows. I would go with size 15 or 16 especially on hot roads. Check your alignment too.
Also would go with wider tires
@@robertbrunner4379 He had plenty wide tire. I think that was part of the problem. Too much surface area heating up the tire. I'm glad he got a new trailer with thinner but taller tires. I commented before I knew he was getting a new $4k trailer.
I would put money on over loaded and throwing off the alignment
@@justinteal495 How many boat trailers have you seen with a tire that wide? It looked like an ATV tire. In fact, I think he said it was in another video. It was definitely overloaded but it was blowing from heat. The other owner probably never had problems because he didn’t drive at highway speed and probably didn’t have it on the trailer long. What did he get on the new trailer? Slimmer taller tires. Same number of tires. Way different design. Those tires do half the RPM’s and half half the surface area touching which equals less heat. But I’m just a marine mechanic, not a tire expert. Never seen a tire that wide on a boat trailer though. That’s why they move to tandem and triple axles. So they don’t have to put a wide ATV tire on them.
Awe, I love Rainbow River! Right down the street from our house in Florida! I always like to swim with the otters and manatees there. Hope y’all had a blast!!

Lmao staying over there in that houseboat isn't a challenge! It's a dream my brother. The house boat is so awesome!
I would suggest building a sound box with lots of sound deadening for that generator so you don't disturb other people on the lake or river. Then maybe invest in rechargeable batteries. Lots of yachts are coming online with solar panels as standard equipment and the advances in solar panels and batteries, plus power management are amazing.

Rainbow River is amazing!!! I went there when I visited Florida from Canada!! I also like that you said the water is cold because my friend from Florida wasn't ready for that temperature, but being from Canada, it was perfect!!😊

The problem Brandon is that boat is now way too heavy for those axles, hubs and tires... if you really air the tires up to max you might be able to limp it across town, but I wouldn't try taking it to far or much over 40mph without beefing up the hubs an tires with a heavier weight rating.

All that metal around the axle @3:15 is from the bead. The long metal wiring is what gives the bead structural integrity! Much love for you videos man. Been watching for a while!🤙🏽

Great upgrade!! Now you won't have to worry every day how many wheels you are going to blow and also the worst case it tipping over!!! That financial hit sucks but will be well worth the stress of worrying about the boat and also others on the highway! I love that house boat... maybe move the googan wall but other than that is seems perfect! Well maybe something for the bugs since lights will always attract them to you boat. I had neon's all over my pontoon and at dusk i would have to open it up full speed to keep them from eating us alive but still had a mouth full by the end of the night

I have wanted something similar for hunting for YEARS. I often times use a kayak for access, and I have thought that a tiny houseboat with a kayak lift would be PERFECT for access.

You need to build a drop down lure board
Then who ever is sleeping up too won’t get stabbed because, it can lock up against the roof then drop down when you need lures!!

Man you need to get you some 10 or 12 ply tires, e-rated. Have them mounted and balanced it'll save you a lot of grief.
