After a certain type of meditation practice i would experience this naturally on an intense level. Just simply aware of everything without any effort and it was so intense but absolutely still and effortless at the same time. I didnt know if I was meditating properly at the time and wasnt sure if i was progressing, but this reaffirms that the practice i did was effective.

My god, what arrogance; and ignorance.
Osho has probably enlightened more people than any other master in history. One interviewer asked him about different places, and whether anyone had become enlightened, and Osho said yes.
I myself have been with Osho since 1977. I have experienced so many satoris in his presence, that I cannot count them. And I know without a doubt that enlightenment is our very nature, from experience and understanding.
Awareness itself is enlightenment. Once we understand, and relax into it. Then there is a deep realization of it.
Stop thinking about others, and speculating. And witness your own awareness. Then you can claim your own reality.

I have always found this to be true. Mental alertness≠awareness. Mental alertness is a work of the brain, awareness is something beyond, something peaceful, beautiful and inclusive, and it comes by relaxing the body- and by body, I also mean the brain. Watchfulness is like sitting on a moving train and watching your thoughts pass by, like the trees and the scenery, yet know that you aren't moving- you are still and present.

This was just what I needed... All the while I had been thinking that u have to concentrate/focus on your breathing only while meditating... And as a result could only focus for max 4-5 mins..... Whereas when I just remain watchful of what is happening all around me, then there are no distractions at all, no random thoughts popping up, no thinking what to do tomorrow etc.
And for the first time I felt that my time spent meditating was worth it... Just feeling so refreshed now.

A good point. When you start meditation this contradiction is apparent and confusing. This is my take/experience on it: In order to start a meditation, concentration is a great starting point, let´s say you are doing Anapana (you simply concentrate on your breathing). What I do is first start with a high concentration level(focus on breathing, even breathing intentionally a bit; inhale/exhale), as you do this over and over, you mind will slowly calm down. And if thoughts come in, and they will, you slowly go back to your anchor: your breathing. Then, progressively, you move from concentration to awareness; how? By letting go...If you start practicing you will know what I mean(one trick is to start by letting go of the concentration and watching your breath, and then noticing anything exterior; sound, etc...)...There are other subtle “tricks” that work, but this basic structure is a good start. Start meditating: it works miracles! :)

you just need to sit for meditation in a relaxed manner.if you try to understand the mind will come into play and it will no longer remain mediation.you will feel sleepy initially but as your quality of sleep improves you will be able to sit for more and more time without thoughts or sleepiness and this state of thoughtlessness ( shoonya) will extend to your remaining time of the day even when you are not doing meditation.

OSHO is by far the best YOGI If you wanna call him that. If you watch his videos- he is meditating while speaking to us. It feels like he is narrating his live experience and that makes his video so so powerful and very practical and realistic. I have never seen any other yogis doing that not even one yet. Of course others do meditation and they may have reached to the same energy level but when they speak- they lecture like professors and it’s easy to understand but hard to feel them. If we watch OSHO it’s very very practical you immediately start feeling it. His long pauses makes me so attentive to his words. I feel like I’m in a meditation class when I watch OSHO videos. Man that’s the best feeling. 🙏🙏 This is like witnessing live godliness feeling.

Of all the videos I've seen till date, of even established Gurus, one thing is certain that Osho can explain the ineffable states in the most lucid manner of them all. Never seen someone put those states in such clear and simple words.

Its not concentration ,contemplation or introspection ,however any of those may happen in meditation ,meditation doesn't belong to any .Till there is only the one isness of this moment .
