Both 'Du hast' and 'Engel' were from the same Rammstein album, from 1997, so that's another reason they sound a bit similar. They were some of the band's biggest early hit songs.
"Sehnsucht" is an amazing album. It shows the early stages of Rammstein where they still were working out what their true style was supposed to be. That's why you got the whole span of effective awesomeness of their songs. You got the legendary ones like "Du hast" und "Engel" - and you got "Spiel mit mir" 🙄
Did you know that the wings that Till (singer) has around have a weight of more than 50kg (110lbs)? 🙈 It’s the reason why he was moving slowly.

Having been to two live shows of Rammstein I still feel very privileged. It isn't easy to get tickets nowadays for their shows. It is quite the spectacle to watch the show and listening to their music live and loud; the way it should. Besides their awesome industrial rock songs they also made some very good "ballads" worth listening to. I could recommend "Nebel" and "Mutter" if you want to listen to a different range this band has.
I love to see your reaction to the performance and like you I was awed when I saw it for the first time. At my first live show I was quite close to the stage and the heat from the burners, flames and fireworks was quite insane really but I love every second of it. Singer Till Lindeman is a professional pyrotechnical so the show is as safe as can be.

One of the managers of Madison Square Garden said that when Rammstein used all the fire at once on rehearsal - it immediately sucked lots of oxygen out of arena, and he felt like his head was squeezed. So yeah, its very warm there and squeezy on live shows of Rammstein

The lyrics describe the situation of angels (which is not very desirable) and the chorus is: I don't want to be an angel.
For Rammstein I've already given you a long list of suggestions/recommendations in my comment to "Du hast" (and a way to find English subtitles), so this time I'll focus on another interesting band that I would suggest to look at: the Mongolian folk metal band "The Hu" (singing in Mongolian language, mostly with English subtitles)

Love your Rammstein reactions thus far! I have to suggest the official music video for their song Deutschland. It's pretty much the only music video of theirs I'd suggest versus the live performances.

Not just the weight...it's the way it's distributed. I've been told he doesn't use the wings anymore, but you can tell by the way he's walking when the are folded that the distribution is DEFINITELY pulling backwards in a massive way. Till is a beast.
sadly the days of Till waring those wings are over now, 50kg[110lbs] has taken its toll on his back plus Till in his '60's now. They tried him in hoists and ropes but that didnt last long either..pity, he looked so bad ass in them plus the female fans really miss them I believe lol

Till in this song is actually *not* singing "Ich bin kein Engel" ("I'm not an angel") but "Gott weiß, ich will kein Engel sein" ("God knows that I don't want to be an angel").
This show was great, but the Paris concert is so much better, because they didn't put stupid restrictions on the band like the states did.
