This awesome mod restores the cut ending to Old World Blues! The slide image can still be found in the game files, and the intended narration was later released by Chris Avellone
This ending is amazing and it really puts into perspective just exactly how nuts and straight up immoral the Think Tank are, and why Mobius so desperately wanted to prevent them from escaping…
I was just thinking this could be a awesome setting for a mod like dust but instead of tunnelers and cloud victims, you have lobotomites and spore carriers and have crazy quests involving the Legion and NCR. Just pretty much seeing the aftermath of this ending.
Mostly Bethesda and their hubris after Dead Money. In DM if you enter while Villified by the NCR and non-hostile to the other primary factions you can finish the DLC by allying with Elijah and flooding the wasteland with the horrors of the Sierra Madre. It ends the game after this, and allies you with the bad guy of the DLC because your wants and desires both align as well as you being of a similar creed as Elijah. Bethesda did not like that. Bethesda struggles with making bad guys, and their concept is "The bad guys do not win.", which is why all their bad guys all fall flat. Blame Todd and Emilio as they both fought Obsidian instead of learning from them. It just works, eh?
@@Xtoxinlolinecronomicon Morrowind was their first offender; there is this god-like being that is literally using the power of it's mind to create a fog of infinite chaos from the volcanic mountain it inhabits. The locals complain it's getting worse while the blight never gets worse; you do have sleeper agents that are activated about 1/3rd of the way into the game but thats it. Dagoth Ur is purported to be building an army, it never arrives. The blight never breaches the ghostfence. Sleepers never return. Nothing. Zilch. There is no lose condition, no timer, nothing. Same with Fallout 3, you're rushing to get the GECK and once you get it you almost immediately lose it, and there is no timer there either. It's Bethesda and what they do. They can't let the bad guys ever win, and you cannot really join them. Fallout 4 *kinda* lets you join bad guys but it took 3 DLC's for them to let you be a raider.
The show can’t be canon if fallout new Vegas is canon because of Lonesome Road. You have the option to Nuke NCR! The show and lonesome road cannot coexist
It’s an option so it’s not guaranteed plus also legion ending would not work because of honest hearts and lonesome road it’s all about the past and how the legion is bad. And it’s probably NCR ending or yes-man because new Vegas looks like it seen better days.

Even before they went crazy they were pretty messed up, there's literaly a death camp for prisoners of war in Big MT. Its like bunch of Mengele's

Bringing Elijah back to the think tank and taking over the wasteland would be my favorite ending
They should have let you play, while red cloud is over novac and helios one. This part of wasteland is bad anyway.
in my head-canon with masters of the madre mod, this is how I finished the game, also House was ''recruited'' to Think Tank as well.
@@keklord6074 lol I'm picturing the courier wheeling his suspension chamber across the Mojave on a hand truck like someone moving a fridge
Like radiation under novac, vipers, and molerats kills you faster than, the red cloud on expert.
So sad that they cut the ending content, tried some ending mods but they do almost nothing but lock you out of quests
I would have loved to physical see this ending in game

Obsidian actually has a lot of respect for Fallout 3.

Always wanted DUST but post-OWB Think Tank ending
a room literally filled with SCP's lol
I mean if anything the Legion had the best outcome in this scenario
closest thing we have to an I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream scenario in the Mojave.

Imagine building a post game ending if this
Why did they cut this? It's amazing!!
