Watching you cook that brought me back to eating squirrel dumplings with my grandpa. Something about cooking and eating in the woods with people you love...nothing better! Miss You Poppy! 🍻🔥💲👍
0:32 Those Orange handled scissors, yes! Love Fiskar. After Dad passed in 2012, we found his Fiskar polecutter. It was damaged, but still usable for trimming. Contacted Fiskar so that I could buy replacement parts. They asked for photos, and that was it...until a month later a long package arrived. The life-time warranty, of which I was unaware, provided a new polecutter and saw attachment. It's been a solid 10 years, and we are still using that polecutter for trimming branches. Trust the Orange.
@@artkirby7416because simple things spark memories from life. I guess you’ve had a very basic and boring life if you’re letting a RUclips comment bother you lol. Personally this video sparked memories of going hunting for squirrels in Grandma’s back yard and her cooking up some squirrel pot pie
You know how the mainstream beers all taste pretty much the same now? PBR is how they all used to taste before Prohibition. So many breweries burned their recipes, but PBR kept theirs, and once Prohibition was lifted, they went back to brewing with their OG, while all the others had to re-invent themselves. A LOT of modern beers give me an instant headache, likely from glyphosate (Roundup weed killer) , but PBR is one of they few which doesn't hit me like that.
@@persnikitty3570 Ty for the knowledge, I didn't know about the glyphosate..I usually enjoy Heineken from a glass bottle but will have to try some PBR's sometime
Damned fine video! We used to have to skin the heads out 'cuz Mom liked to eat the brains! Daddy would make a dark brown gravy like that, but not with PBR...! He called it Sauce Piquant. Now days, I hydrate with PBR tall boys while I cook a pork & sausage jambalaya...! And of course, this video made me HUNGRY! God bless ALL of us! WWG1WGA
If you haven't tried the SK seasoning in the white can you need to. It does not have too much salt like some do. It has a great balanced flavor, lil sweet . We have put it on everything, gumbo, crawfish etouffee, shrimp, crab cakes. All good. Made some remoulade and viet cajun dippin sauce with it, both awesome. Made some cajun fettuccine alfredo with it, delicious.
When I was a kid, usually we had no choice 0 💵that’s what was for dinner., along with rabbit duck pheasant, clams, crab whatever we can hunt an fish i’m still cooking it to this day.
A true tree rat is of a different family than squirrels are. Squirrels are in their own family, the Sciuridae. Rats are family Muridae. Tree rats, also known as roof rats or black rats.
Soooonnnnnnn!!!! Love me some tree rats. Grab ya an ole softshell turtle, and make some cooter soup! I'm about find one here soon. Stalekracker is the man!
I love this guy. My wife Debbie the queef girl showed me this. She said you guys as teens realized you could get really drunk for next to nothing by doing a tripod and basically doing. Butt chug.
In Alabama, can't say eating tree rats, there's actual rats designated Alabama tree rat. The live in trees and eat pecans, I'm a Texan and used to call squirrels tree rats and saying "shot and cooked some tree rats" and got some looks from folks until they told me.
A man who cooks squirrel meat in woods with a paddle while drinking PBR is a man I have respect for
You have amazingly low standards.
Don’t ever disrespect yourself like that

Lived off those squirrels along with deer and rabbits one winter back in the 70's. Layed off and no work in michigan.
