Motyl HappyEyed It's live. It's just bad edited, bad synced. They played the song twice that night. So, the edition guys took parts from the two performances, but they miss the sync

The only members of the band who are actually performing live in this video are Bono and Larry. Neither Adam nor Edge are playing anything. They are just pretending like they’re playing. It was the same thing they did a couple years later when they Get Out of Your Own Way on the barge a couple years later at the Grammys. It’s 9° and they have gloves on.

One of my favorite things about U2 is that you never experience the same performance twice. They don't play every song the same way every time. They always change it a little. And they always make it work. Just something cool I realized
I enjoy that as well. It makes each performance feel special to you in the audience because you realize your experiencing something different. It’s a trait I like in bands. Counting Crows does that probably more than anyone. They will come out and play an entirely different arrangement of a song almost every time. It’s remarkable

They totally deserve to be up there...goosebumps all over the body..chills , thrills...U2 singing that way is like a drug..The voice is not sheer here but who gives a shxx.. it's about power, energy of the whole packet, we can't analyze this stuff. Few guys keep bitching around about U2 not being like they were.. i'm sorry if you can't feel the energy, maybe you have missed something strong in your life and i hope you'll find it soon.

Wow, what a great once-in-a-lifetime performance. The sound is great. The live venue atop Manhattan at sunset in the cold is great. The Rutger's band performers and the fans, all just great! Additionally, all the camera shots, the crane shots, the high shots (from other building or drones) give me a dizzying vertigo.

I saw this the night it aired...in a word, epic.
Wow....they are the greatest. What a stage! 70 stories above the streets in New York City! Saw them 3yrs ago during the 360 tour in Pittsburgh. Bono's soulful voice, Adam, Larry, The Edge, thanks fellas. Please don't ever stop making music.
