A venerable band I've seen live a number of times, including when Band-Maid toured with them for several shows in 2016. Have had a few personnel changes over the years-only Kimi (v) and Haru (b) being left of the originals, three former members were guitarists. Often shared the bill with Mary's Blood, Destrose, Aldious, Gacharic Spin (and many other all-female bands) on the club circuit. I think Japan was/is light-years ahead of any other country in terms of opportunities for girl bands, not only the annual Naon no Yaon event but also so many fests on the club circuit for so many years.
That'd be some very cool lineups for sure! There's definitely something in the water over there!
This song is always expected by the audience, because it allows a great interraction thx to the "WO!" during the riff - always enjoyable and impressive (there's a live CD soon, I hope the London audience did it well!!! ). I love every line-up of Bridear, and the current one (with singer Kimi and bassist Haru being the only founding members) is great, with lovely and funny drummer Natsumi (she's extremely good, probably better than she actually think), creative guitarist Ayumi (who seems to become the musical boss) and new guitarist Moe (shy in the first days but she's a very good complement to Ayumi).

I would say this song is more of a radio friendly song than a breakout hit. Bridear is a pretty well-known OG band but are still very underrated. They should be bigger than they are. This song and Light in the Dark are two favorites for many of the original line up. Their sound has evolved over the years with different members coming and going. Even since your other reaction to Ghoul, Misaki, the guitarist with lighter hair has been replaced with another. Her name is MOE. Bridear has always been able to survive these difficulties and get very talented players. They have also been songs with 100 percent English lyrics for more western ears.

Back then the growls were done by guitarist Misa (Misato Ono). She speaks nearly perfect English. She does more pop type songs now in English. Bassist Haru (who doesn't speak English) took over on growls afterwards. So its more mumble Engrish sounding now.

Nice song. Bridear changed line-ups and sound a couple of times. Was particularly sorry to see Misa (yeah. another Misa) on lead guitar leave but they seem to have a steady line-up and musical direction with their brilliant latest album aegis of athena. Drummer Natsumi was formerly of a talented group called Telecide, who released 2 great promising ep's.
