    If you have a legible circuit diagram, you can also bridge the desired signal path with wire to test whether it is the relay. Bell relays with moisture inlet🙄are so 80s.

      I wish I'd bridged the relay as it would have been interesting to see what playback was like throught he formats with only one set (maybe the NTSC set) of heads in circuit only. A missed opportunity there!

    hi was watching a video on the in sides of the vhs you know the video head drum motor on vhs deck sorry i get all the names of parts not right
    there very fine wires in side the drum motor that goes bad over time the video heads can be saved some time you know video heads drum and video
    head motor in the vhs deck i need to do a lot more work on vhs gear
    i just had some pinch rollors from terry rubber rollers he's very good if any of your people need some done it's better to just save up the cash
    in the paypal each week like ad money from your bank acc
    i had to as the work was going to cost all 1 inch rollers for my soundcraft 381-8 cost alot now 70 usa each how not joking

    Be very careful about using moldy cassettes to test any equipment. The microscopic spores will penetrate all tiny little crevices and they will get inside the head drum. Consequently, you will "seed" them to your other cassettes or someone else´s. They are nasty little buggers.

      Thank you so much for reminding me that I had some mould on that cassette. I spotted it and then totally forgot that I had! Totally agree that mouldy cassettes are not good for either machine or human.
