Love the build videos, its like watching Picasso at work. I enjoy how your builds are so relatable. when things dont go as planned you work through it even if its not perfect. Lots of these youtube bike builds are bikes and parts most of us cant afford or have. I appreciate what you do
Not so sure about Picasso... maybe Pollock? I think he's the one who just threw paint at a canvas lol. The problems I encounter in the videos are generally just a sample of what I deal with. I tend to leave a lot out for the sake of keeping the video somewhat short. As always Timothy thanks for watching and interacting it's very much appreciated.
I'm surprised that you didn't have some kind of silver square taper cranks lying around. Even if it was a double, nobody says that you have to shift. :)
@@billincolumbia Well I do have an old triple I'm not using. Unfortunately the chainrings are all riveted on. It's heavy but so is this bike so I guess it really wouldn't matter.
Every bike is special. So true, it’s very hard to find silver crank sets anymore. Everyone went to black. On my ‘72 I had to use an Shimano Octilinc w/ 52-42 chainrings. After which I found out that the bolt pattern is different and super hard to get a 50 tooth for. Keep up the amazing videos!! And thanks for the sticker pack. Already got them on the bike.
That's a slick looking ride! I like it! Hopefully it rides as good as it looks. Thanks for sharing the build. Take care you two and have a great rest of the week!

The fork color is MUCH closer now! It was green when you started. :)

Yeah and the old cranks had a bit more style to them too. I'm digging your Continental build. Thanks!

Thanks! It rides pretty good for what it is... heavy steel frame, caliper brakes, other junk parts lol.
Great video as always
Thank you! i appreciate you watching and interacting.
You cracked me up with all the handlebars! ❤️😂 Beautiful bike build!

@@Locojoe thanks randy, you do the same!
8:29 - a straightened wire coat hanger with a small loop at the end holding a piece of steel wool. (acknowledgement to RJ for this)
@@seraphan6 ahhh sounds simple enough . Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
Decisions, Decisions. I understand.
Too many options not good for an indecisive person like myself lol.
That was fun thanks for sharing
Glad to hear it. Thanks!
