  • This Fairy Tail game seemed like a great break away from the normal arena fighters. A JRPG with gameplay similar to the Atelier series. But for a popular Shonen series, was this the best fans could have asked for?

Thanks for covering this. I had no idea what kind of game it was, though I'd heard it was an RPG of some kind. I think I'll wait for the sequel, and maybe get this one if it ever goes on a decent sale.

I also have the impression that even a Fairy Tail Warriors Musou game either akin to the One Piece Pirate Warriors or even the more recent RPG focused Fate/Samurai Remnant would be an IDEAL pick for Fairy Tail to have

I liked the game but like a lot of sub games, the biggest bummer for me is that the game(and sadly looks like the sequel is ending up the same way) didn't have any English Dub. That really took me out of the game since it's just not the same without the English Dub cast voicing these characters. I started the series with the Dub and even watched the Dragon Cry movie with a group that had Todd the VA for Natsu with us which is a memory I'll never forget. When I read my FT volumes i always hear the English cast talking when I see them talk on the pages so it's a real bummer that Gust never dubs they're games anymore for some reason.
I'll probably still get the game cause I love Fairy Tail but it won't be as fun without the Dub Cast. Talking about games and Hiro Mashima works, where's the Eden's Zero game that was announced years ago?! It's been YEARS since it was last shown and the series is even over in the manga. I hope it wasn't cancelled cause it sounded interesting.

    I liked it.
Sure, it wasn't a deep RPG of classic proportions and it's very much made for those who are fans and know who the characters are.
Nothing was new, but the writing was entertaining, the gameplay loop was fun.
I was good. It was very typical Japanese game, solid but not innovative.

the writing in the first game was very good, the interactions and situations were amazing but the lack of models and the graphics were kinda ass. there were scenes that the character was literally talking to the air and they used pictures instead 3D models, also there are like 4 NPC's, you can see the same npc 5 times in the same place. but the gameplay was ok, 6 out of 10 is my rank.
