    Why don’t more people know about returning the book early to the library and it still remaining on your Kindle.
    This would keep wait times down for all books. Oh, the things that get me worked up.

      Haha, absolutely!! Especially when everything shut down and EVERYONE was borrowing digitally.
      I think some of it might be people reading on their phones which doesn’t keep the loan on your device when you return.

      Yes they are! Free books from the apple bookstore were my absolute jam back in the day lol. There are actually a lot of good ones in there, but I remember hating the cliffhangers 😂

    It might be good to know that in many European countries, having a Kindle severely limits your options of getting free ebooks. This is because they use a system called CloudLibrary, which Amazon refuses to support. The consequence is that you can read your books on most eReaders, but not Kindles. Something to consider before buying a new device. I have a Kindle Voyage and I know that when I buy something new, it will have to support this system.

    Amazon first reads isn't just for prime members, you can get them for $1.99 each if you don't have prime.

    You should check to see if your library public has cloud library. It’s an app similar to Libby but I normally search there if Libby doesn’t have the item and most likely it does.

    If you delete the library book through your Amazon account (under manage your content and devices), it will be removed from your kindle immediately.

    • @readwithbintou
      @readwithbintou  3 года назад +1

      Good to know! I rarely go into the Amazon account to remove books. I return them from the Libby app and they stay on my kindle until they actually expire after 3 weeks

    Is it morally right to download a book online just because the copyright expired???? Seems like a loophole to me. Speaking of which, some taco bell sounds really good right now.

    • @readwithbintou
      @readwithbintou  3 года назад

      Hey, don’t let me get in your way if you want to spend money on those books!

    • @Imaginetheday1967
      @Imaginetheday1967 3 года назад

      Copyright expiration is pretty complicated, but basically it expires 70 years after the author's death. For example, The Great Gatsby entered the public domain this year. It's all completely legal in the US (no idea how other countries handle it). I've never seen anybody question the morality, but maybe it should be discussed. I don't personally have a problem with books that have entered the public domain, but have a HUGE problem with sites that allow downloads of books that haven't.
