Wow, things sure have changed since Cosmo and Wanda were Timmy's Fairy Godparents since going to Fairy World was just another Tuesday, back then. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Timmy was the reason why those restrictions were placed.
I think that's implied in the show. Da rules have been increased to twice it's length. I mean during Timmy's time he already made an extra rule happen "no wishing for eternal Christmas" and with the other BS wishes he made yeah they probably need to workshop the rules a bit more
Timmy was such an active menace to everything and everyone he came across that I wouldn't be surprised if they extended Da Rule book or created a second one entirely
Hell, probably the last rule is "If a kid is the sole reason of why five or more articles have been added to da rules, he will have his fairies removed."
I think Peri really likes his parents, but wants to be seen as his own man. Cosmo and Wanda still baby him because in their eyes, he's still their baby little Poof. So he's got this awkward dynamic with them where they baby him much to his dismay, but he still cares for them outside of that.
Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised that Dev managed to get a wish loophole. Fairies are notorious for not really thinking ahead about certain wishes like that. I guess Jorgen, or anyone who has written Da Rulez haven't learned from when Timmy always found certain loopholes; for example, the Secret Wish should have been considered more than any kind of wish a kid should not be making.
I have only watched a few clips and read some episode description, have they actually even mentioned Da Rules because I feel like some of the stuff I read about was against them and also Timmy went to Fairy World all the time so that confuses me.

@@danycan743 plus it nice to see some old characters, beside Vicky. I’m glad she dead. Especially who later roles. (Why did the writers made her into a “evil” woman?)
How is what Dev said a loophole? He only wished it in such so he won't get tested by Jorgen despite being explicitly told he can only go there if it's for a /special occasion/. Being tested by Jorgen is just an example of what's considered a special occasion. A loophole wish would be "I wish to go to Fairyworld for a special occasion that doesn't involved being tested by Jorgen." Peri even says "You can't do that!" vs a mere granting the wish with a nonverbal "this isn't a good idea"/"this is definitely going to backfire". Dev's wish is the equivalent of asking for something despite being told no/told it's not allowed. So, not really a loophole, but I'm not against it either since there's usually a countermeasure from trying to outsmart Da Rules. Maybe Dev's idea is to not get caught. If he's lucky that a special occasion just coincidentally happening in Fairy World, then yeah by that technicality he didn't break Da Rules.
Right!? I swear it would've been like passing on the torch both literally and creatively (one generation to another) It would've been even cooler if Dev didnt know Hazel also had godparents at first and it was hinted over the first season that she did (cosmo and wanda/having pink and green belongings) and maybe revealed by the end of said season that they both did, strengthening their friendship/causing more shenanigans. This plot would also be a great starting point for season two as both their secrets are now revealed, technically breaking godparent protocall, bringing Jorgan and "Da Rulez" book to good use, lol. Idk i feel like the show overall wouldve hit harder if peri and his godkid (whether it be Dev or even Hazel) had been the main focus.
