Unfortunately, imported eggs that you tend to get these days in Malaysia are not as tasty. Ask for kampung eggs. Local and free range.

Boil water and turn off heat. Poke a small hole on egg side (flatter side has a small airy dome), put egg in for 5 minutes. Et voila! Half boiled egg.
