Thank you! I love how you don't just explain it, you show us the effects of sun and time and stuff. This was super helpful! Looking forward to checking out more of your videos!
thank you so much for explaining and trying this! I have been confused forever on what baking is and none of my makeup friends really explained to me what baking is. Thanks!!
40 years old and just started using this technique. It really helps my eyes pop and I live the way it feels all day. My skin doesn’t have that oily feeling as it did before with just foundation and bronzer.
This is so useful thank you!!! As you can see from my pic i'm pale as hell, but with severe hyperpigmented dark circles and oily! Trying to keep full coverage concealer on is one hell of a challenge without it going all crepey and gross and chalky. It looked super smooth on you and although i personally think your unbaked side looks nicer with a gorgeous dewy glow, strategically placed baking might be the way forward on someone like me! Also i'm amazed there weren't any brits on that beach - we love going out in the midday sun with inadequate suncream and cooking like lobsters
Hehehe June to August the heat and the humidity are unbearable, we stay indoors all the time! You can occasionally see few tourists trying to be brave 😄 but eventually they go back inside. The rest of the time the weather is amazing though! I'm not a huge fan of baking as I personally prefer more natural makeup (although I've noticed 'natural' is a subjective word when it comes to makeup 😀 some might say this is heavy). However I've noticed that it does help sometimes.. it also depends on what products you use.. some are already on the dry side so too much powder would make things worse. When I went to the Masterclass by Mario, the used a lot of moisturiser and liquid foundation so he balances it with more powder (baking) that's how he manages to achieve that radiant and matte skin he's known for 😍
Ok, one really really important fact everyone left out of this video is WHAT POWDER is he/you using for this “baking” technique? That’s the main thing I needed to know. Is it actual baking powder? Or, is it a cosmetic setting powder applied, and just being left on the face to “bake” awhile on the skin? This video still left me a little uninformed on the “baking” technique. I guess I’ll go search for a different video that includes the actual powder that’s used for makeup baking. I’m assuming it’s baking powder, but I still don’t know. I’m not going to put baking powder on my skin without knowing for sure. 😆
Hey Nicole, it's not baking powder for cooking.. It's the setting cosmetic powder (loose translucent, NOT the pressed powder). Almost all the brands have one. I've used before - Translucent Loose Setting Powder by Laura Mercier, Lasting Fix by Maybelline, RCMA No-color powder and Makeup Forever Ultra HD Powder. You can copy/paste any of these powders in google and see how they look. The technique is called "baking" because you leave it on the skin for a while but it doesn't involve baking powder at all.
@@nadiazayatmakeup hi Nadia sorry i asked this very late. Just wanna know should the powder always be in clear white colour if it comes to bake? Or could we use shades that matches our skin tone? Because based from all the baking tutorial videos i’ve watched, i noticed people always use the white colored powder when it comes to bake.
Hello Nadia☺️ Thank you for this fantastic video. I wanted to see why american women love baking so much. To me it is useless especially bc I have dry skin and I am very active so to wear makeup during exercises and running is horrible 😱 I will never get why put so much powder on your face. This is a big mistery to me lol It would be nice to see new video soon😉💜
Hey, I’m glad you liked it! ♥️ I think at one point it was just trendy and a lot of bloggers were doing it because it looks interesting (more views, more clicks when something is eye catching) and people were intrigued. I think it works great for someone with very oily skin that always struggles to set their foundation.. as you said definitely not for dry skin 🙈
Great trial 👍🏻… Word of advice on your English, “more dryer” isn’t English. The right way to say it: More dry, or … dryer. The same goes for More big, or bigger… Not “more bigger”
Thank you! I love how you don't just explain it, you show us the effects of sun and time and stuff. This was super helpful! Looking forward to checking out more of your videos!
Yay! I’m glad to hear that it was helpful 💕 I also enjoyed testing it.. I have to do the same test with other products/techniques.

You're very welcome! I am glad I can help ☺️

Yayyy, Jennifer!! That's a great news!! I'm glad it works for you 😍👍🏼
I don’t really like dry skin, but it looks cute on you and baking is a very good technique for people who wants a makeup for a whole day
Thanks! Yes, it's a lifesaver for people with really oily skin and/or if you live somewhere where is super humid.
Only now I found out about this technique and your video is really good and concise, thank you!
You're very welcome!
Great video showing the comparison! Thank you!
Glad you liked it!
@@nadiazayatmakeup I did it tonight when I went out for my birthday...it actually worked great!!! And it is very hot & humid where i live.
Now I fully understand 🤩 Thank you so much for explaining and showing what baking really is. This will help my photo shoots for sure 😋
Yay!! I’m glad to hear that 🥰

baking probably doesn't make a difference, but I like to do it anyway.... makes me feel younger for some reason.
Anything that makes you feel younger is worth doing ☺️💖

49 degrees in celcius!
Hes being all rough on that chick lol and you’re all soft and gentle lol
lol yeh I don't know why he does that, when I do it the foundation starts to move lol I'm used to applying makeup gently.
Why does the baked side look dueler?
What do you mean.. it looks dull?
