Shawn Betz Missing: Mom & Sister Bring Mayor Bill Velto to tears - Upland City Council 12/14/2021

Upland, California is where 11 year old Shawn Betz mysteriously disappeared in 1988.
Despite being profiled as one of the runaways in Soul Asylum’s 1993 hit video “Runaway Train,” Shawn is not believed to have left on his own accord.
Shawn was a student at Sierra Vista Elementary School when he disappeared.
Speaking to the Upland City Council in 2021, Barbara Betz & Pamela Betz explain how Shawn’s disappearance 34 years ago & subsequent events devastated their family.
