- Tarek El Moussa sits down with ET's Lauren Zima where he opens about his newfound happiness with his girlfriend, Heather Rae Young, and what it's like working with ex-wife Christina Anstead on the new season of 'Flip or Flip,' airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on HGTV.
Tarek and Christina are two people that went through hard times together, tragic times.Their marriage did not survive, but what I love seeing is this couple being able to survive all the media attention and still come out showing their devotion to family. This is a couple that despite all the difficulties of what they’ve gone through, put their love of their children above everything.
I really like him! He said in another interview he can't wait to meet his kid's new brother!! So sweet! He and Christina ARE having fun; it shows! And his new lady is gorgeous!! Great guy, dad, businessman!!

I love Tarek after watching this video. It was so refreshing to see a man open up and reveal his emotions. I know this interview was uncomfortable for him, but I hope it have him a feeling of relief. He has overcome so much and now he can use his testimony to inspire other men and for that matter other people. I wish him and his family well.
Like others, I was so sad when Tarek and Christina broke up. I had watched Flip or Flop for years. I am old enough to be their parents and could see things they both were saying that wasn’t good for their relationship. I’m so happy for Tarek. I’ve seen him mature and become successful and have more confidence. He’s a wonderful Dad and that makes me happy for his children. I must say that I often agreed with his choices in decorating and with his dislikes of some of Christina’s choices. I’m glad he can now move on and be successful on his own as well as with Christina.
Tarek is glowing and seems so optimistic! So glad he's happy and healthy...he deserves a good woman that will value and respect him!

(And I'm sorry to say but, the new girl is far more than likely purely REBOUND! And not much more. She's just something to distract him and even the score. Because CHRISTINA left HIM so he wasn't "done" with the relationship and you can see literally on his face, how he now handles her, speaks and in his mannerisms on the new season of Flip Or Flop that he clearly still loves her! No matter how much they didn't get along. But HE ruined it! And just LOOK at her, this new girl Looks SO Similar To Christina!)
No, he's miserable without Christina and HAS to date SOMEONE ~*NOW*~ to get over the fact that she's PREGNANT ~*NOW*~ (and happy) again *without him* ! I mean, even in THIS interview look at his body language! He's so uncomfortable talking about how CHRISTINA'S got a great new chapter where he is no longer the man of that story & life, and so he's GOT to have SOMETHING to come back with for HIMSELF, and that's dating a "look-a-like"! Or really just ANYONE to avoid feeling lonely and admitting to that loneliness.
It breaks my heart, because I hate to see people fuck up and then suffer for it. But then it also makes me happy because it shows guys that If You DO Mess It Up women have the opportunity to leave and go be happy in another lifetime!
TRuST Me, this chick is NOT "The One" and after her whoever else there might be he's still got some healing to do. He can say he's "happy for her" and they "all go out with the kids together" all he wants ...of course they do & of course he has to say that, but Christina is the life that he would have if he could have her back. Period. Whether they bickered or not. But obviously SHE was over the bickering (but more the mistreatment; I couldn't Believe her article on that) and so she refreshed her life! Completely. (And from what I see she made some Great decisions! Ant is AWESOME, you can't deny that, her house is a home & is GORGEOUS, and a new child to add to her now new, beautiful, grown, blended family! PLUS Ant can cook, Build Stuff with his own hands, is far more 'manly', far more attractive, far more creative, is simpler & doesn't bicker or fight with her [it's not in his nature, you can clearly see that], he's successful on his own WiTHOuT a show, is bi-continental, has many other talents which is so interesting, and he treats her like sweet, respected Royalty and has a far more youthful, freer glow and air about him! She Hit A Home Run!) And I think it Floors Tarek that she could actually be so happy and move on.

This shows how really hard it is to split up and still be parents to your kids. It is extremely difficult. You can see how he responds to questions and totally relate the struggle.
This whole co parenting gimmick is a joke

I totally agree i hope he does'nt rush into getting married, I want him and Heather to be happy, and not just for 2yrs. don't forget your children have two families to adjust to, their mom's divorce and your engagement and upcoming marriage t hat's a lot for Taylor and Brayden to absorb, I really care so much for Tarek He's been through so much with his health, his marriage crumbling, etc God bless you both and years of happiness,Take time to enjoy every moment SLOW DOWN.

Great comment. Too many parents damage their kids after divorce and it's great to see he and Christina love their children so much that they don't make them choose and they live close enough that the bond does not shift

To be honest I’ve seen the show and had no idea about them separating until today. I always felt like they were never on the same page and low key wanting to bicker and argue more than they did, but playing it off for the camera. I hope they can be civil for their situation and be content in their new lives.

Wow. The comments. It's like y'all don't know the story. There's always two sides, but Tarek isn't innocent within what was their failed relationship either! It's Crazy how y'all actually think Christina didn't DESERVE to leave! As much as I want Tarek to have a good & happy, successful life Too and heal & move on. But do y'all even know WHY they divorced?? Lol
Hope he one day finds true happiness though, and can actually be settled within himself and have joy without having to simply say those things mandatorily and by default! I Want EVERYONE To Be Happy! Losing your Love ain't easy. SHE's happy, for sure. And I want HIM to be too! The interviewer is asking what I want to know. But shes also getting on my nerves about how she talks to him in a very childish way. And she keeps asking him about his ex way too many times. Stop picking the scab and quit with the fake laughter.

Don't know who started on the breakup, but I saw sometime in some shows he showed his temper like to give her a little hard times that no lady like!
So true - if you don't live in the house with a couple, you can't say whose at fault. In most cases, they both share the responsibility for a marriage break-up. Hats off to them both for not tearing each other apart and for being able to work together. How commendable is that!!
