Gnostic simply means someone who has experienced God/the truth, not just someone who believes. Jung had true experiences of God, therefore he said he KNOWS God exists, not just simply believes. Belief implies doubt. Belief is the enemy of knowing. A Gnostic, like Jung, seeks to experience God first hand. As all religions at their core teaches us to do. Jung wasnt not a Christian, he studied it very much and admired Jesus. But he was wise enough to not fall into the dogma of modern Christianity. He was wise enough to read other scriptures from other Masters such as The Bhagavad Gita, and be able to recognize the absolute truth of divinity in those scriptures also. Jesus taught the exact same core message as Krishna and the Buddha, and Jung was wise enough/open minded enough to recognize this Jung was more of a true Christian than 90% of "Christians" nowadays. He sought to truly experience it, as Jesus taught, not just simply believe with fingers crossed
I think we have to embrace the reality that we inherently have both dark and light sides and it is up to us to nurture either side. Knowing that you know is the beginning, knowing we are imperfect yet if we are to choose to grow in the truth and light is to forever grow and expand forever in eternity. How do you wish to grow, as a weed or as a flower ? both need nourishment and produce seed. I know a lot of things yet I question my knowledge knowing that I know little as there is an endless stream of wisdom to gain. In simplicity I take each day at a time, each one a brick that builds myself with hope and goodness. Knowing that my faith is a solid gold anchor set in the heart of God our father that is immovable.
I agree and what comes to mind is scripture that says "My people perish for lack of knowledge ". There is a lot to be learned about our brothers and sisters that can be learned through MBTI......like anything it can be used for good and for evil. Most importantly God will not despise a contrite heart; make sure you've made your peace with Him.Not preaching, just a general statement.
I’ve heard about Jung’s occult involvement and as a Christian I’ve thought about it a lot and come to the conclusion that Jung’s teachings are simply wise observations of humans. I also believe that only through the help of the Holy Spirit can we overcome our weak areas. Mbti simply helps us be more aware of ourselves and others. It has also given me so much more understanding of others, especially Sensors! Lol I thank God for Mbti!
I agree with you. MBTI is a lot like the 4 temperaments but more defined and precise. I don't see where MBTI is contrary to divine revelation or the deposit of faith. So in the Catholic tradition, we can distill it as St. Augustine distilled the philosophy of Plato, and St. Thomas Aquinas distilled the philosophy of Aristotle. There are some liberals trying to super-impose their liberalism as INFJ characteristics. That's something that's just annoying because of the lack of respect for the truth inherent in that process. I agree that I as an INFJ disregard social norms because many are hard for me to do because it takes quick acting absent of discernment and pondering. Others I don't seem to have an instinct for, and only catch on to them when others explain their existence and reasons they work for people. INFJs appear to have a natural compass for the "love of the neighbor" morality. The "love of God" morality comes from using both the inverted intuition in union with inverted thinking. Our love for the truth and willingness to explore many conclusions takes us in that direction. Just because we give consideration to opposing views don't mean we don't decide who is correct.
Amen! Bring it brother! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 KJV 2:34
I cannot write from the perspective of a Christian, as I have never been a Christian, but I was raised to look for Creator and goodness in everything. The fact that Carl Jung was neither Christian, nor Longhouse (my religion) has no bearing to me at all. He was a wise man who I have learned from and that validates him.
The way I see mbti is it's labeling things that God created. Sinners have created or put together all kinds of things that we use. Now I haven't looked fully into all of the claims with Jung but I have seen the enneagram stuff and I do feel convicted about that one.
Thank you for sharing about Jung. I have heard and believe MBTI and Astrology are occult and should not be a main focus. Reading The Word. Dwelling in Truth is imperative. But knowing God allowed the madji to have the knowledge to study the stars to indicate the birth of our Lord tells us exactly what you said God uses all things for His good. We should be good stewards and remind people what God says about us, and for us to do as opposed to MBTI or Astrology guidance but it doesnt mean its hog wash. Its not. Its helpful and a good tool. It also has its place....
Oh wow this is really interesting and has come up in my life. I have been told that jungian theories are not aligned to Christian values. I don't have the answer but it helps me so much to understand myself and others. As infj I believe we have a child Ti, that gives us a child like belief and I have always had a spirit world connection and healing gifts. I am currently ignoring that my bedroom doors are regularly opening and randomly slamming shut and many othee things like this happen regularly. .. I just ignore it😮🙄
I will have to respond later. As I've stated before, I'm 65, been studying eschatology over 40 years, have a degree in psych but more importantly I have tons of real life experience. I'm deeply steeped in mysticism and have studied much on ancient civilizations and their respective pantheons. I'm busy at the moment so watched only a portion of the video. Will return later with my synopsis..lol..just off the cuff though, MBTI is not an eternal study, it's more of a temporal thing. I'll check you later though for sure.
IMHO, MBTI has nothing to do with Christianity. I am a follower of Yeshua and I worship Him and God. MBTI, in my opinion , can be used as a learning tool to know yourself better therefore make possible ways to change things about yourself that may not be in correlation with your beliefs. Changing behavior is difficult for most people as it means reaching inside and looking at the core problems and then analyzing these things and coming up with solutions in behavior to impliment change. Most people think bringing out those horrible things is worse than their inadequate coping they are using but once dealt with being on the other side actually brings freedom. Knowing Jesus is your Lord and Savior has nothing to do with MBTI.
Your logic is distorted, if you and your mother and father are three then you are one family. If we are all related down the line then take the seven or eight billion people around the world then it reduces to one, and all our ancestors from the past civilizations of times past, think about it.

I'm a big fan of Jesus, but I'm not really an organized religion person anymore. I grew up in a Christian school and faith and it was traumatic.

I love the keirsey temperaments. So simple and easier to keep everything organized. No wonder INFJ's like it so much lol. Thanks for your comment.

MBTI is just a human way of explaining how God made things. Like how we label gravity and force.
