Interesting decklist! Labrynth is also my favorite deck and I've played it since release and experimented with a lot of different variants as well! It is nice because you do have a lot of flexibility with it and can customize it to personal preference and to the meta you are trying to contend with. I haven't played Back Jack in my lists for a while, and currently am more of a 40-42 main deck person with singles of the traps and no Trap Tricks. The deck feels hyper-consistent as is, and the only time I feel bricked up is if I draw a hand of 4-5 traps that are out of engine or the one engine trap gets negated. Usually, once the engine is online I can recycle my traps well enough or use the effects of my monsters on the field or in the extra deck to clean up what I need to. The timing of the interactions feels more important than the number of interactions and seems to be the best determining factor in mirror matches or ones against really skilled players and/or very good decks. What is your opinion on the Unchained variant? I am wanting to go back to test it more now that we have Rollback which is a great trap to pop with Sharvara and get into the graveyard. It just feels really free and the Unchained package definitely adds some height to the deck's ceiling!
Have you tried ghastly glitch. IMO it feels alot better than punishment. You pop any card on the field like the fire king sanctuary and send a missing furniture. In your case back jack too. Also playing Exciton Knight and Abyss Dweller can really feel good to cook fire king/big boards
I love the RACE side deck tech, personally loving witch’s strike against the crazy combo decks and still question why EEV can’t be copied overall instead of just being able to only destroy cards on that turn since the problematic text is referring to the next 3 turns.
you cannot copy EEV cuz in the tcg its text says; .. after this cards activation. that means after it was flipped face-up from field and with rollback banishing itself to copy your own EEV in gy, you are not activating the card. BUT if you were to copy an opponnents EEV in gy with rollbacks on field copy effect, then it would resolve since rollback was face-down prior.
@@deathfromabove4915 any deck that runs Barone like Manadium and RACE but it also activates in response to belle! You can literally kill your opponent before you even have a turn off 3 cards lol
Honestly felt like the deck was too slow for me, this vid helped me refine my deck list and now we doing turbo, thank you to my favorite Obamna soda labrynth master
Besides the floodgate build (personally hate that version) I've experimented with adding fiends/new traps in and out to see how the interactions work since I started to play the deck back in august of last year in md. My personal experience is, how rewarding the deck gets in advantage when the user makes the right choices. Also, I find the furniture interaction from the gy quite cute, small guys coming out to defend their castle no matter the situation
FYI they can't Ash OR Belle Transaction Rollback. The effect of Transaction Rollback is to COPY a card effect in the graveyard. Ash and Belle don't negate that.
I've been testing BackJack for a few weeks now and it indeed work better than to main deck Extrav. Also you can try 2 Punishment and 1 IDP bcuz punish combos with Arias way better as a turn zero blowout card too if u send Elder from the ED. I'm also trying to tech 1 Gravediggers Trap Hole and It runs so good to counter hand traps and or fireking meta.
I'm testing Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. I like how it can pitch Backjack or Rollback for more interactions (then rollback can copy its eff w/ no cost), as well as proc clock's grave eff. I also had interactions where I already had Transaction in the grave and discarded a big welcome via Phoenix (didnt have a furniture at the time), copied it with rollback, then banished the big Welcome. Just some interesting interactions :).
From my experience backjack is very bricky. In this version of the list i would be playing Lord of the Heavenly Prison over Backjack and cut at least 2 cards for 2 pot of extrav. You need the card advantage for the furniture.

I don't like this decklist and the ratio because there is to many brick's with this list if you are first. I think 3 rollback is in my opinion too much if you don't have a way to discard it. The best deck for the next format will be fire king and arias + playground in turn 0 is insane because all their monster's in grave are getting banished instead.

Technically when rollback activates in the grave, it’s a “activation effect,” not a “card activation.” Joshua Schmitt just reacted to a video MST did when he covered the ruling

iam playing back jack lab for a month now and i fell in love with Terror of the Overrot. It is so good against Fire king.
What do you target when you go against fireking?
you can target fieldspell on activation and send it so it will triggwer in gy and he couldnt protect it@@WRJDUELIST
