    ok that nib + furniture interaction is crazy… and i didn’t realize the proper way to play cooclock on turn 0 was to pitch it first, then use furniture and chain cooclock to reborn-super cool!! def gonna be referencing this before i stream labs on master duel whenever the new support drops

      why does the tribute effect of nib work if u chain stovie?? As far as i can see its not a cost effect.. any answers?

    • @CodyRockLee13
      @CodyRockLee13 10 месяцев назад

      @@niclassievers3247 As you say, Nibiru's effect is not cost, however Stovie or Chandraglier's effects' costs include discarding a card, which can be Nibiru since Nibiru's effect activates in the hand (and remains there until resolution). Then, Nibiru's effect structure (in PSCT terms) is important: "You can Tribute as many face-up monsters on the field as possible, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand, then Special Summon 1 "Primal Being Token" [...] to your opponent's field." A, and if you do, B, then C. In other words, A must resolve successfully in order for B to happen, but if it does, B happens followed by C *but only if B happened*. Since Nibiru is no longer in your hand and the effect states "Special Summon this card from your hand," Nibiru cannot be Special Summoned to your field, therefore since the summon of Nibiru to your field (B) did not happen, Special Summoning a Primal Being token to your opponent's field (C) does not happen.
      TL;DR - Problem-Solving Card Text (PSCT) -wizardry- semantics.
      I suck at explaining things simply, but hopefully that was in any way helpful.

    I use Lab in md thanks to a friend, only floodgate added was rivalry. My builds are based around summoning Loris mid game and shuffling traps back into the deck, it is a fun idea when your strategy doesn't depend on floodgates, rather than just trying to reach a grind game in general. I hate mirror matches tho

    I really appreciate this video and I learned some cool stuff from it. As someone who has been on the trap-heavy variant of Lab for a while, I still can't really see myself playing the furniture. Cards like Skill Drain are often enough to win games by themselves. Committing that many cards to pop 1 on turn 0 just doesn't seem impactful enough at all. Even backed by handtraps. It seems like you have to fight tooth and nail for your wins in this version as opposed to flipping up a floodgate and coasting into an easy victory. It does seem fun though. I like the intricacies of all the interactions.

      The advantage that furniture gives you is that it is far easier to recover from a blowout like a duster or a lightning storm, and it lets you at least set up if not play during your opponent's turn if they go first far more than Wannabee does

    • @wubwubdododo5656
      @wubwubdododo5656 Год назад +3

      except the floodgates like skill drain can't be searched and just relying on them makes your incredibly susceptible to blow outs.

    This is nice and all, but you cannot always chain Lady to your Trap, since she's a QE to chain, meaning your opponent can respond to your Trap before you can use her effect

    • @theWIIISEguy
      @theWIIISEguy Год назад +6

      It's Yugioh. There's typically always ways to interrupt or counter combos. Surely it's useful to know these things, but just because it can happen doesn't mean it always will.
      He also demonstrates other lines that doesn't include Lady chaining to Normal Traps. As well as Turn 0 combos.
      Did you watch the whole video?

      90% of this vid was quite explicitly not doing "activate trap, chain lady"
      a lot of it was playing with turn 0 trap activations

    Also I'm confused on how to combo nib with furniture. Is it because you can disrupt the nib summon condition by sending furniture to the GY?

    • @Pineapple_YGO
      @Pineapple_YGO  Год назад +2

      You can prevent nib from summoning by pitching it as cost for the furniture. Then it’ll just tribute the field and not summon the token

      @Pineapple_YGO ooooh so when it says discard 1 card pitch nib. Thank you.
