Hey there, one thing to add on the first combo is that if you actually have cartesia and deployment, you should summon albaz, special cartesia, then fire off opening. This way if you get ashed on branded fusion, you still have ways to get to mirrorjade (my usual go to is make gran, send rindbrum, on opp's turn use rindbrum, fuse wtih their board, get mirrorade. That is basically 2 disruptions just from that, also since a monster left the extra deck, you can use gran to summon quaertis or lulu depending of the match-up)
I'm new to branded, post banlist, and this is such a helpful video. Plenty of people show combos, but it is SO SO SO helpful to have the explanation of why I am making the plays, as well as the reasoning behind the ordering of chains. Easy sub!
man those explanations were top notch! You clearly know the deck quite well, it definitely helped me out. Branded is also my favorite, I love the complexity of the lines of play. keep it up!
I really appreciate the explanation in these videos. It gives me insight on why certain cards are being played during chains or revealing alternatives depending game state. I know it's annoying to the content creator or sometimes the viewer to announce what each card does but reminding people what cards do helps memorize them since sometimes people read cards either don't understand them or just straight up don't read. It all helps understanding each cards purpose and not just straight away do the combo without an explanation like 97% of all these combo tutorial videos. In which case defeats the purpose of understanding a combo or the deck and how to fully utilize them.
VERY nice video!! A lot of cool combos that are not obvious if you are not playing the deck. One note I want to make about the 3rd test hand, when you activate the Branded Fusion, you could summon Rindbrum, activate Mirrorjade dumping the Albion yo GY (cost), negate Mirrorjade effect with Rindbrum. This leads to the same board but you have rindbrum instead than Bystial Lubellion, which have more interactions (you'll have less resources without the Branded Lost but +1 negate +1 pop with Rindbrum).
Had a Hiatus when Tear was at full power, stepped back into the game and updated my Branded deck, will be watching this video alot as you've been the most helpful with Branded IMO. Liked and Subrlscribed :)
I played a budget build of branded (no quem, cartesia, lubellion) for a while. Now that the reprints are coming I can finally afford the full power deck and these videos are super helpful learning the deck :D
No quem or cartesia sounds rough, always love to see reprints lowering prices (especially because cartesia is probably my favorite card in this deck lol)
Appreciate the explanations! Definitely need more vids like these cause its always so nerve racking with branded test hands. For combo 1, you could have also pitched imperm instead of cartesia for a fusion material into sanctifire + gimmick lock!
Nice video, On the first hand, up until the mirrorjade, you could chain cartesia to lubellion. Then fuse cartesia and lubellion to get granguignol and them lubellion resolves fusing itself and albaz away for mirrorjade. This way you use lubellion twice.
If Lubellion was met with something like imperm there or if I didnt go the Albion line then yes, but otherwise holding the cartesia fuse for later is important in order to trigger branded lost on turn 1
Man this is a very helpful guide In the last combo line 31:43 I would like to send titaniklad to get me into quem quem will send another cartisia to one of them to my hand durin End phase Then use cartiseia to fuse with lubellion into granny dragon And then send albion to get me into branded in red I would like to hear from u if this was optimal play or not snce im new for this deck Much respect for u my man
Thats fine as well since ad lib was in grave as long as you get to branded in red i think youre pretty set Sometimes i dont like to shotgun the cartesia fuse on turn 1 though and potentially save it for opponents turn, and making albion was just a faster way to red But the fun of branded is these little choices and doing things slightly differently depending on the situation
I play the Puppet personally but not as my main plan, mostly as a "Yeah why not" option, Nadir is one card I also love, it forces me to think about what to do without my ED and it makes for some very intricate plays; the other two cards I cannot afford and don't really want, I tried them but I don't enjoy using those staples, having Branded in a more pure way just makes me happier and have more fun, especially experimenting with the Despia field spell which can be a Branded Fusion Fusion its own if you have already materials in hand or field
in the first test hand, i would have sent the cartesia for opening. i reccomend valuing the actual trap effect of retribution, and since u went for the albion line, the moment you activate jade the retribution becomes live. its a rare form of actual negation, which this deck doesnt have a lot of
That's a smacker hand. I got back into it a few moths ago after, I dunno 10 years of NOT playing. Branded was the first deck I made, hypernova came out, I made kash, played it a handful of times. Branded/despia or branded/chimera is just so nice.
stumbled on to this guide. BF is at one now, High Spirts is a busted card, we play 60 card variants now all to basically do the same thing lol. Branded wont die as long as dragons and fusions are a thing. good work.
Awesome video really informative combos. In the dragoon combo could you have fused Cartesia with mirrorjade instead of quem then bought back mirrojade with quems effect? Then sent ad lib off Granguinol and activated red for chimera and bought back mirrorjade for a 3rd time off ad lib?
@@YamiElut yeah awesome man sorry I must have missed that. Your videos are really good and the explanation on your combos and interactions makes it easy to understand especially for someone still quite new to this like myself! Looking forward to more in the future
Im pretty new to the minutiae of Yugioh rules, how does using cartesia's quick effect fusion with the first hand protect aluber from imperm or vieler? Does his effect not get negated if he gets fused away?
Imperm, veiler, and similar negation cards must target a monster when activated. They do not negate the effects of the monster until both players agree to resolve the chain. If CL1 is Aluber, CL2 is Imperm targeting Aluber, and CL3 is Cartesia fusion, it resolves like this: CL3: Cartesia fuses herself and Aluber into Granguignol/Masquerade/whatever CL2: Imperm has lost its target being Aluber and fails to negate his effects CL1: Aluber searches a Branded spell/trap from the deck The analogy I like to use is to think of targeted negation cards like a sniper rifle. When activated they target a monster on the field, like looking through the scope. If the chain resolves and the Imperm has lost “line of sight”, then it will fail to hit Aluber and will not negate his effects
@@YamiElut Thanks, man. That makes it really clear. In a situation like that, does the opposing player still send their imperm to the GY after the chain resolves?
@@arkisys yes, imperm is still lost out of their hand/field and goes to grave. Another helpful little factoid for you too: if the imperm was previously set and successfully negates a monster, the spell/trap column it just activated in negates all other spells or traps in that column for the rest of turn. However, if imperm was set, activated, and loses its target (thereby failing to negate the monster effect) it also does not negate the spells or traps in its column either for that turn and effectively “fizzles”
Could i get the name of the cards for this deck. I play master duel and my opponents be playing with Eldrich and this other deck that just spams traps and a monster that comes out to board whip me.
The bystial lubellion can special summon himself by tributing a level 6 or higher dark dragon on field. This work from the graveyard as well as the hand
Mirrorjade’s text doesnt have the standard “you can only use this effect of “Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon” once per turn”, instead it says after you activate the banish effect “also this card cannot use this effect next turn”. Long story short, if mirrorjade banishes something and then leaves the field and returns (either through ad lib + branded in red or cartesia fuse + quem reborn) it is not considered the same “card”, so it can use the banish effect again
What are those annoying background noises? But you got a sub will watch you're videos cause I have the same deck but didn't play in awhile need fundamental knowledge and you explain well
Lubellion is better first summon in a large number of situations, and will especially be the case when Puppet is gone. Respect Nib game 1, and you dont have to game 2
Definitely safer regarding things like nib but also bystials and such for sure. Just wanted to show the basic albion lines when I did have aluber to banish in the first two examples
Not beyond just splashing 3 fenrir in there, seen a few people do that But as far as a true hybrid Branded/Kashtira deck idk how that would work exactly
Just checked, I didnt realize shes nearly doubled in price since when I got mine Shes good but if you cant afford it then Branded can still do 90% of the things Branded does. Luckily most Branded Despia variants only play 1 of her anyways, so I wouldnt go crazy over not having one if you cant
@@YamiElut ah thanks she snuck up in price while i was away so i bummed but glad to know decks playable, atleast i grabbed the bytials and cartesia lol

07:30 can Baronne still attempt to negate under lost? Hypothetically. And, if it did attempt, would it essentially waste its negate
@@EloffMusketeer that is correct. The attempt can still be made to negate but under Branded Lost the fusion would still resolve
