A very good informative vid. In my many years of watching various lawn care vids, I have never seen anyone do a vid on buying used mowers. However, I don't agree that buying used always means "getting someone's problems". I mow commercially, and often trade in after 2 or 3 years, with nothing broke, and none of the visual problems mentioned in this vid. (I do keep up with the oil changes, and recommended maintenance.) I run Ferris, and John Deere. Blessings
Thanks for the great video. I'm considering buying a used Scag commercial 48-inch zero turn. It had a 22hp kawasaki engine and was replaced with a 19hp kawasaki engine. What are your thoughts? They don't know the hours. And what is a fair to good price based on this information??
19hp seems a little low, I have a 52” with a 23hp and it will struggle and want to bog down in the taller thick grass… I would definatly recommend cutting with it to make sure it’s got enough power for what you’re gonna do with it, other than that it could be a great investment!
I am skeptical about being able to ask the seller if I can test the mower for 30 minutes. I don't think that is going to fly. How would that work? You want me to find someone on marketplace and ask if I can mow their whole lawn with the mower? Is that done?
Can you do a video on replacing a Kawasaki 680v engine? I've got a Scag Tiger Cub with 1,800 hrs, but the engine just started leaking oil. It appears to be coming from the plug area. Can I go with a bigger Kawasaki engine ie. 27hp or efi?
Good advice when looking for a primary mower. However you have 2 brand new commercial mowers so this being a hobby mower you can afford to take a chance on a broken frame and bad spindles.
So is that Kawasaki issue with the engines for all Kawasaki engines? I was looking at an ex mark Lazer series today and it had a Kawasaki engine and having watched this video prior made me pause before deciding on making a deal. It was a 2014 X series.
The three people giving this a thumbs down are probably people who are in the process of trying to unload a crappy unit on some sucker.
pro trick: watch movies on Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Bobby Maximiliano Definitely, been watching on Flixzone for years myself :D
