As a 40 something year-old African American woman, I fell in love with Joss Stone's sound long before I knew the color of her skin. Once I saw her, it made me love her that much more. The reason being, she managed to capture the emotion with her music that many R&B artists, Reggae, Jazz, etc. wishes to elicit. When you can evoke feeling through your voice, I would venture to say that it does not matter what you look like, you have done your job! Her music is a gift. Her voice smooth like an angel. She is on my bucketlist to see in concert before I die-it used to be Prince, Whitney, etc. However, she has taken their place because they are not here any longer. I don't care what she looks like, the young lady has SOUL (Depth). I mean that in the deepest sense. That should be all we care about. Love ya Joss!
She's just a wonderful human being. I enjoy her talking almost as much as I enjoy listening to her music. She's incredible. Impossible not to love her.
she's so special, I love her so much!!! saw her in 2014, she's so insanely talented and absolutely gorgeous!!! everyone who gets a chance to see her - take it and go - that's my advice :)
@@MeganB2023 no, unfortunately I did not get to meet Joss, but I was lucky enough to be front row and she was so lovely talking to us between songs (plus singing fantastically of course!)... also - at the end of the show she gave out white roses and I got one ☺️
Man, I love her so much, she's got a great sense of humor, very quick thinking, and what a beauty! She's absolutely gorgeous, omfg. And may I say, I just adore the way she deals with the ocasional bullshit she comes across every now and then, like, give her a fucking break, people, c'mon. I think people often understimate her, she's a very clever girl, and very chill and so down to earth about these kind of stuff, It's really, really cool. Great podcast!
I'm watching this 5 years later enjoying it immensely. She mentions that she's going to do a gig in Long Island, which I went to about a week after I had my knee replaced for the first time. I ended up having four replacements instead of two but that's another story. She played in this small venue that was wonderful and intimate and I still enjoy her tremendously. She continues to be my favorite artist who I named my sweet beautiful dog after and I shared that with Joss when my husband got a cameo appearance from her for me for my birthday, mother's Day, and anniversary. 5 years later I was supposed to see her in concert in Connecticut last year during Covid and that didn't happen and hopefully will happen this year. Listening to Joss on my iPod, on RUclips in her podcasts, and even on the Masked Singer UK has been one of the things that has kept me going through this whole pandemic. So happy that Joss is also happy in her personal life with a nice guy and a new baby. Looking forward to hearing more music coming from her. What a positive spirit in the world. I've been following her since her debut many years ago. She's the same age as my son, And I am twice your age, could be her mother, but I have tremendous appreciation for her and her music. Rock on Joss Stone!
Some people here didn't like this interview, but I like ALL THINGS Joss Stone. What I don't get is ... why in over five years, NO ONE has complained about Joss' performance being cut off?
This Interviewer is lost, it outsells because she has a ton of followers and we buy what she makes because it's all good. People hate hearing her say how people are racist against her because she is white....

When it comes to female vocals there are two that top the list for me Ann Wilson of heart and Joss Stone, they always kill it.

I could honestly sit and listen to her talk all day long. Her music and personality is captivating.
JOSS IS PURE SOUL BORN WITH IT.
It's always great to see the inside of Joss. She is full of love and understanding. Thanks for this.

And yes Hillary is just like Maggie Thatcher! In your naivete you're getting it right!
lovely Joss
Super lovely joss
I don't see it as a reggae album at all,I wish people would leave her alone, she's a great singer and portrayer of songs.
Wow she's beautiful!
"What if she's like Margaret thatcher" nice one Joss, you nailed it!
OMG, she's the perfect goddess.

Is the the Joss Stone that featured in Carlos Santana's song with that Sean Paul dude? :o
+Kakashikewl Yeah, that's her :)

British and American relations were much better with G W Bush than they are now. I really wish people would not interject politics in interviews
That interviewer is not good....sorry but I really do not think she does a good job here
I apologize but this girl is the worst host. I feel like the interview was completely wasted and Joss saved it.
