Her onscreen text at 18:03 implies that Ellbat thinks that YT would think the suspenders would be too sexy for monetization. Even if they would be, they're an essential part of the costume. Besides, in this case it's the absolute territory that's sexy, not the suspenders which span it. If the pale absolute territory did not contrast so well against the black skirt and stockings, the suspenders might draw the eye. But not here.

For winged eyeliner: 1. Do it with your eyes open! The skin around your eyes is in different places when they’re open and closed, so a completely perfect looking wing on a closed eye can end up looking totally wonky when they’re open. Line your eyes open so that you know the shape will look good when they’re open. 2. Line your top lash line normally, then follow the arc of your lower lash line and extend it outwards to create the bottom of your wing. This should help get the right shape for your eyes and make both sides more even! 3. Connect the line of the wing to the top line you already drew and fill it in! Hope this helps, your cosplay looked great 😘
Re the problem with the "socks" - suspender belts actually do have a function, they're not just something for strippers to take off! Glad you enjoyed your first cosplay. 😊
I'm a cosplayer, thank you for making this video! 🥰 And yes, cosplay needs a lot of practice. Congrats for your first cosplay, it suits you really well 🥰💖
Cosplay tip on the stockings falling down: In the picture of Misa that you based the outfit on, see those straps? She's wearing a garter belt. Though in my experience most garter belts just get pulled down, because, you know, gravity. So if your corset doesn't have little loops on the bottom to attach garter straps, sew some on. Then everything will stay up so much better! And you'll look that much more like the picture. Also, if the stocking tops don't have silicon rubber or such bands on the inside, and aren't a little on the tight side, they won't want to stay up as well. Not a replacement for good garter straps, so not a high priority, but something to keep in mind too. And for the wig, hiding a bit of wire in the bottom of the pigtails and glue a bit of the hair (with a water-soluble cheap grade-school glue stick) to help shape them into the impossible gravity-defying picture of perfection will help make them stand out more. Curl a circle of a few loops at the bottom to put under the hair hands to hold in place before you glue. Bonus points if you can find a color of insulated wire that hides perfectly with the hair. Otherwise a bit of spray paint on bare wire, like copper wire, after you're happy with the shape, and before you glue in place. If you want to go crazy on the minutia. I can't help with the makeup though. I'm bad at dramatic makeup. LOL Practice? I guess? LOL BTW, I love her boots! No platform or high heels for Misa. She has a good pair of stompy boots!
You need a garter belt for the stockings. The garter belt should have four places to clip the stockings on two on each side to clip onto each stocking. The garter belt will hold up the stockings.
After years of failing to do eyeliner. I discovered that the brand and nib make a lot of difference. For some reason the eyeko liner is just easier to draw with in my opinion. (They sell them at space nk in the uk.) I do eyeliner before eyeshadow so if I mess it up.... smokey eye it is. I just pack on that black and grey shadow and you wouldn't know the difference. I then go back over the eyeliner a little bit if necessary.
I smiled at the 'annoying interruptions' because I've seen you make that joke in multiple videos however this is the first time it's actually played an ad for me 😂

Good attempt ! Looks fabulous to me
Your first attempt at the eyeliner was actually really good! If you had applied some white between where the undereye liner and your lashes were + the waterline, you would have been able to give the impression of bigger eyes which is really common in cosplay. Another thing with make up for cosplay - It is usually very dramatic, larger eyeliner, more blush is really common because it helps you look more cartoony. Great first effort. You look fantastic. Turns out garter belts are very practical for getting stockings to stay up although I suppose you could use body glue. Looking forward to seeing the full costume with the wig and your future cosplay.
1-the annoying interruption gag. Yeah, you're not the only one who uses it constantly and I still have a little chuckle every time it happens. 2-makeup tip. You have a side that is easier to do than the other. Figure out which that is and then start on the other side which will make it simpler to replicate once you move back to the easy side. Also don't worry about perfect symmetry, close is good. 3-those annoying stockings that kept slipping down? Those suspenders that you opted to omit? Yup, use the suspenders.
Agree - solid first Cosplay - perfect is the enemy of good enough. Makeup just takes practice and don't get hung up on liner being equal on both sides.... Well done.
Even if this was a long time ago, makeup tip for under the eyes- if you’re not going for a sharp under eyeliner look then use a small brush and black eyeshadow, it works a lot better in my opinion
That final look was SPICY 😳 you did a great job! To keep socks up in the future, you could try suspenders, sock glue or fashion tape. For that particular wig/look, I’d maybe bring the pigtails forward a tiny bit and find a way of adding a bit more volume to them? I’ve never had to do it so I’m not sure how to go about it. You look great though! I’m not a cosplayer (although I admire cosplayers), just a dress up & wig enthusiast ☺️
@@Karls_Clips I know, I'd absolutely love to go. I am secretly a massive nerd. I spend my weekends reading books and comics, watching WandaVision and playing Elder Scrolls. I think I'd fit right in. 🤣🤣🤣 Gotta love a good cosplay.
Eyeliner tip: Use tape base line guide/straight edge, you can get the tape perfectly even (the best angle is to try to follow the angle of your cheekbones) then apply the liner as best you can, peel off the tape and you'll be left with a perfectly straight and even bottom line of the wing, then the only tricky part left is getting the thickness and length of your wings even and creating a nice fine point at the end.
It is very good to see you again. I'm glad that you are well. It really cracks me up every time you say nay nay. I would love to have that on a t-shirt.
@@Ellbat but..- you said “dad don’t watch this” IF THE MIGHTY FATHER CANT WATCH IT MY PARENTS CANT EAITHER! Edit: I spelled either wrong because I’m eating pizza lol
A tip i learned with eyeliner is to use a dry eye liner brush and practice the movements. Then when you feel comfortable move on to pencils or use a powder on the brush. Because those are easier to remove if to make a mistake.
first of all the costume looks really good on you, 10/10. second, I always wanted to try different character's costumes but I've always just put it beside, don't think I'm gonna do that from now on; I shall leave this world wearing a cute anime character costume once I've found my favorite one.(I have a plan on watching different animes in 3 months after my exams have finished)

Makeup Tips! 1. Eyeshadow primer ALWAYS on first before anything to do with the eyes lol especially eyeliner. 2. Start with a line drawn from the outer corner of the eye up and then connect with another line to the lid in a triangle, fill in. 3. Face primer BEFORE foundation. 4. Wash your face first, it will help with application and it will look smoother. LOVE YOU!🥰
Having worked conventions over 20 years there are some undocumented groups that help with cosplay , look at where you want to go to and see if / ask others (who in the past) have done cosplay at the convention you are going to that are willing to assist you. I as well as 8 others as a group love to get these things done. I have worked with costumers as well as makeup artists behind the scene to make people look as good as they can ... because if you look good then the convention looks good.

You look great though! I’m not a cosplayer (although I admire cosplayers), just a dress up & wig enthusiast ☺️
My inner nerd has always wanted to go to comiccon, cosplay and I kinda wanna see what the hype is around larping 😂 At least once in my life maybe
Comic cons are quite fun, definitely should go to one at some point.
I miss going.
Well done finally getting it monetised
thank you hahaha
It is very good to see you again. I'm glad that you are well. It really cracks me up every time you say nay nay. I would love to have that on a t-shirt.
Uhm.. I'll watch this later when I'm not with my mama... 😳
I swear it isn't that bad hahahaha
@@Ellbat but..- you said “dad don’t watch this”
IF THE MIGHTY FATHER CANT WATCH IT MY PARENTS CANT EAITHER!
Edit: I spelled either wrong because I’m eating pizza lol
I'd love to see you do more cosplay! You did so good!!😃👏👏👏❤️
Ellbat Leak the OG Intro Challenge
bro if enough people want it I will drop it on the second channel lmao
Solid first attempt!
And if you added the "suspenders" (garters) to the outfit, then it's likely the "stockings won't fall down.
I find this kinda scary but that makes it even more interesting I guess? Lol
A tip i learned with eyeliner is to use a dry eye liner brush and practice the movements. Then when you feel comfortable move on to pencils or use a powder on the brush. Because those are easier to remove if to make a mistake.
suspenders for women which will how keep up the stocking and good cosplay outfit :)
first of all the costume looks really good on you, 10/10.
second, I always wanted to try different character's costumes but I've always just put it beside, don't think I'm gonna do that from now on; I shall leave this world wearing a cute anime character costume once I've found my favorite one.(I have a plan on watching different animes in 3 months after my exams have finished)
I love the chocolate bar in the background of edditing you
Gotta get my energy somewhere 😭
This is the first video of yours I seen and it was very enjoyable :). Cosplay is also lot's of fun and you get to meet some very cool people. I am actually a member of the Star Wars group the 501st which is a blast we get to play dress up as well as help charities.
"spoiler: I live in England. every day is a rainy day." 😂😂
Even though it was a cheap outfit, you make that outfit look good
"You don't get really, really annoying interrupt-" * ad plays *
Wow that was perfectly timed
Makeup Tips!
1. Eyeshadow primer ALWAYS on first before anything to do with the eyes lol especially eyeliner.
2. Start with a line drawn from the outer corner of the eye up and then connect with another line to the lid in a triangle, fill in.
3. Face primer BEFORE foundation.
4. Wash your face first, it will help with application and it will look smoother.
LOVE YOU!🥰
"Don't watch the Netflix movie Deathnote"
Me: That brings back some horrible memories
Having worked conventions over 20 years there are some undocumented groups that help with cosplay , look at where you want to go to and see if / ask others (who in the past) have done cosplay at the convention you are going to that are willing to assist you. I as well as 8 others as a group love to get these things done. I have worked with costumers as well as makeup artists behind the scene to make people look as good as they can ... because if you look good then the convention looks good.
missed u Ellbat❤️
missed you tooooo !
aww that motivation at the end, came right on time, as I'm editing a video right now and was feeling a little scared but let's just do this! :)
Once the lockdown is over I'll start cosplaying as well
Do it! It's so much fun!
