hi , pls help me , i am confused between iit guwahati bsc hons dsai course and iit madras bs data science . i checked abt both in their respct. website in detail. iit G has total 299 credits and iit M has total 142 credits in all 4 yr . but overall as general ranking iit madras is above than iit guwahati, and i too dont know which one is more beneficial at the end of 4th yr . i mean online degree is not good as of offline , but shouldnt this online degree be completely waste. atleast helping in placements and in all terms which one will be better ? pls tell me !
Currently their is no jobs in IT as companies mostly hiring for experience people only and those are working in development they are doing internal switching into data engineering due to which less demand in data science also and IIT is claiming that so many students have been placed but those students have been fired in probation or internship period only so if you are thinking for this course as your main degree be careful it can place you in a wrost condition of your life and their no guarantee that you will get a job because whatever they are teaching is old which will be not relevant in next 4 years as IIT didn’t sign an agreement that they will place you even those who via JEE for them also placements are low or not placed one of my cousins remain jobless after doing this course

I got 70% in 10th(CBSE-2020), 67% in 12th(BSEB-2022). My 11th was completely zero and in 12th i didn't study well so i decide not to appear for jee 2022. Then i take drop starts covering 11th 12th from dropper batch but couldn't do that well & gave jee 2023 and got only 70 percentile. Then again i take drop & gave jee 2024 this year and got 64 percentile, this time i completely left study don't know why and this was my last attempt. But my interest toward computers, softwares, applications, cyber security, etc are higher. I wanted to be a software engineer but due to such poor performance in jee unable to get a good college for btech CSE. Right now my current situation is completely blind. Don't know what to do next. However my friend told me about this IITM BS degree, looks great & i desperately wanted to get into it. So i just wanted to know that can i go for this or not? Because my past performance were not good 🙁. Do I suffer in future or at the time of placement regarding my past performance? And can you guide further what to do ?? Please reply 🙏🏻❤

@@Azlbrrr Thank you for the reference but some of the comments that I saw mentioned that in the 3rd year they allow the students for offline course. But they have very limited seats for students entering the campuses through this course also they don't guarantee hostel facilities to those students.

Those who qualify jee mains will need to give qualifier 2 or they are directly added to course after registration? And how does the class works? Regular everyday lectures or 6 lectures a week per subject? And how about assignments? Are they relevant to the lectures or tougher/other than that syllabus?
