Great video and information, Jack! Players aren't fully aware of the varying levels and the similarities of the divisions, so it's great to hear it from someone who has experienced it. Hopefully the snow clears soon, and you boys can be back out on the field soon. All the best mate!
Wish more people understand that it’s not all about division! For many players it’d be better to play d2/naia at a good school w playing time than to go d1 just bc its d1
Due to differing regulations for admission, D2 has a significantly higher number of international students. Some of the rosters of the best teams in the country are 80-90% international students. I'd also like to point out, in the US college system, men's soccer rarely provides full ride athletic scholarships. The 9.9 equivalency is spread over a roster of 25+ athletes. They can (and will) supplement with academic scholarships if they can. So keep your grades up. But expect that you will still be paying to go to school.
If your looking for a cheaper option while looking for schools then junior college is a great place to start for international students, I am English and played two years at a Junior college and after that had offers from many different university’s in all divisions. Don’t forget about NAIA too very good level there don’t let other people influence your decision who don’t know much about the system.
My goal is to try and get a scholarship next year and I’m really eager to do it but I feel like I’m going to get homesick and feel weird living in a completely new country.
This can be a concern for people, but I assure you that the team you go into will have other internationals and together you can go through the tough times and the good times!
Great video again can you explain more about the quality of the football a person is going to need from 16 onwards if they are thinking of going to the state's in the future
The quality also varies depending on league. For example, there are a lot of D3 leagues that contain schools that are much better and much more well known than certain D2 schools. That being said, I agree with the blur between bottom D1 and top D2 schools as well as the D1 out liars.
Would you say wake forest is in the top half of d1 or the “best of the best?” That’s the school I personally was looking at a lot because of the academic programs there as well.
Hi so do you think going to a good div 2 is better than going to a solid div 1 team because I’m going next august but I’m trying to learn everything and know how it works
I know you’ve probably had this question loads but I’m 16 years old from England and I’ve played academy football since I was 7 for man untied and stoke city. I have recently been released and after I’ve finished college in the uk do you think America is a step in the right direction for a pro contract. Love the vids bro keep it up❤️
I would suggest taking it seriously as it can potentially get you a greater academic scholarship. I would also suggest using Khan Academy Website which has great free resources!
@@lotgriff to an extent aha, they said they can get me in because of my athletic ability, just wondering what the level is and if I could use it as a stepping stone to go pro with a good backup degree 😁
@@lotgriff no mate, I’m in England and doing a level 3 rn but they took my gcse transcripts and the guy said doing sat should help me, what’s your Insta bro? I’ll give you a shout on it cause it’s easy to talk
Guys, if anyone need any help in finding a college, i can recommend you an good agent, i'm a college soccer player in MO, if anyone needs any help just reply this.
I feel so bad this is just false. Having played d2 teams every year in preseason and being part of an average to above average d1 program its just false. Blow outs ever game. D2 teams may have close games with the bottom 25 teams maybe. The skill is just not there and technical ability and consistence. Yeah for some players on a d2 team 3-4 maybe but the whole d1 team has the same skills and better.
This contained some great information!! Thank you for your knowledge!!
Glad it was helpful!

Cam you do like a list from the best 10 d1 teams in your opinion
And also D2 maybe?

Theres even CC's that are better than some D2/D3 4 year schools = Facts!!!!
What’s the level of a good div 2 team like compared to the uk standard? (Is it close to juniors or semi-pro level?)
Like the vids btw
Wide range some top D2 programs can compete semi professionally, and bottom D2 would lose to some youth academies
Would you say wake forest is in the top half of d1 or the “best of the best?” That’s the school I personally was looking at a lot because of the academic programs there as well.
They are defo up there!
can you tell your full story of getting from uk to us colleges!?
I have done a couple videos on my journey already! Let me know if they help!
Hi so do you think going to a good div 2 is better than going to a solid div 1 team because I’m going next august but I’m trying to learn everything and know how it works

Hello mate, give me a message on IG and I'll be happy to help
Do schools in UK have school teams? Like here in the US? And how would they compare?
Not at University level, well not in the way the NCAA, NAIA and Juco work
@@lotgriff well what about high school?( idk the comparison of what that is in England) or kids who range from 14-18?
Can’t get scholarships at d3? Weird cos I’ve a few friends who went to school for free at d3 level. 👀
You can't receive ATHLETIC scholarship at D3. They may have had a an academic scholarship?
@@lotgriff Not really what you said in your video tbf mate. Leave you to it though.
@@harrykenny fairly sure it says ATHLETIC scholarship on the graphic in the video
What about NAIA and NJCAA
What is it like taking the SAT? Any tips for others preparing to take it?
I would suggest taking it seriously as it can potentially get you a greater academic scholarship. I would also suggest using Khan Academy Website which has great free resources!
I’m from the UK and have been approached by Yale for football/soccer, does anyone know what the level is like? Thanks!
Yale are an Ivy league university. You must be very intelligent!

@@Geophill9 I'll have a look and get back to you. Have you taken the SAT yet?
They ranked 48th in D1 last season so that is pretty good!

Do you have mercy for LOTG??
Eh?
Are you from the uk ?
Yes mate
Hey man! I am going to a D1 junior college next year, with which NCAA division would you compare NJCAA D1 with?
It's not very comparable tbh you will see 5-10 potential D1 players that are playing njcaa they just trying to get theirs grade up before going to D1
@@willzrickless2064 thanks man, you mean 5-10 players per team right?
@@hugo4935 depending what region you are playing and if the d1 are looking for players so i would say 1-6 per teams
@@willzrickless2064 Yeah I agree maybe even less I'd say a little lower due to the amount of NJCAA teams there are across the country.
Are you on full scholarship?
Nope
Where U live and what college U play for mate?
