tony corinda drank in our local pub and was a regular, the corn exchange in long Sutton Lincolnshire(now the granary),he also lived in terrington st clements about 10-12 mile away and was a well known ,permanent fixture in our town ,he did many of his tricks in the pub in exchange for drinks off patrons..a legend, deceased for a while now,i never spoke to him but had a friend who used to go and stay at his house.
he was also full of tales and of magicians who became famous from his tricks,i personally never believed his status in the world of the magic circle etc and the range of his influence in modern magic...years later I saw his books and read many acknowledgements from top magicians from all over the world..
In a way, ninety percent of all mental tricks are easy,as long as you are familiar with the method. Most of them are really clever though, that's why when you try to find an explanation you are not even close. In other words, this is NOT the way this trick works, but often we,as mentalists, want you to believe so. I know that it feels very awful to suspect that the performer outsmarts you by far,on the other hand, this point of view is the most silly a spectator may have,if you know what I mean...
Any one watching tu this in 2024
