Circ saw tips incoming! 1: Set the blade depth to be just barely thicker than what you're cutting. This is actually a safety thing, so I highly recommend it. 2: Get yourself a good straight edge and a couple of clamps to use as a guide. A 10' plank tends to work well. You're basically making a budget track saw. I find it makes a huge difference.
