Moffat just understands how to write for the Doctor better than anyone. Ncuti fully felt like the Doctor after this episode. I really hope RTD and any other writers this season take note of this episode. This is the Doctor Who that we want!
I'm going to say it and make this very clear, after this episode and how absolutely phenomenal Ncuti is, anyone who says he "can't act" is just flat out, racist. He is absolutely acting his socks off! I cannot praise this man enough. He IS the Doctor!

Moffats way better at one off episodes than being a show runner. His doctors were a serise of "tune in next week to if we maybe do something with this idea" he tried too hard to make the doctor the most important thing in the universe. But when he does one episode that where everything he does has to be concluded by the end. He's great

I still say that, as utterly brilliant as DW was under RTD, there are certain elements Moffat did a million times better. Not everything, some stuff he dropped the ball on, but when he got it right, he REALLY got it right. I’d even go so far as to say that while RTD’s tenure was more far more consistent, the highest peaks of Moffat’s era dwarfed those of his predecessor. There were still missed opportunities, but less than RTD’s era…and he understood the meaning of regeneration a bit better as well.

You have to laugh. Moffat returns after five years with a blatant retread of the famous landmine scene from 'Genesis Of The Daleks' - and his fans are delighted!
This wont be her character. She is returning as another modern earth companion if I’m not mistaken, which is beyond annoying as well. I get they are audience surrogates but change it up every once in a while.
