I have one I got for$250 at a pawn shop. I also have a Custom Shop 51 Nocaster bridge pickup. The TexMex pickups are OK but don’t have the bottom plate on the bridge pickup.
The Road Worn Series are such fantastic guitars. I have a 50's Strat in Sunburst from 2017. It's the Strat I've always wanted. I swear I don't need another Tele but that one is so gorgeous!
@@stillkickinmusic I can see that. The one I have came with a more subdued relic job, mostly just key points, but I like that. I got it second hand so there was a little extra wear from the first user and some more has come from my playing so it has some unique character of it's own. Good video, lovely guitar!
Did you happen to take off the scratch plate? (under that is...? route for middle pickup? Space for neck humbucker?). just wondering thanks Lastly, what would you think of a Fender neck change to a 9.5 or flatter (rather than the 7.25 that comes on it).
Hi, under this pickguard is a cutout for only the stock single coil pickup. the neck change should work but you just have to see how the neck fits the pocket. cheers
@@stillkickinmusic The only thing that keeps me from pulling the trigger is the 7.25 radius. I know that it's not retro, but I would prefer a 12" radius.
It’s funny how a MiM tele has less issues than an almost $3000 dollar Gibson Sg 61. I wish i could go into detail the crap Gibson lets pass. I returned two sg 61’s this year, a stop tail and a maestro.

Road Worn owner/fan, love these models! Thanks, this taught me a few things about the high fret fixes!
Great to hear!

Agreed. I like the series, especially the first 3 years, 2008-2011. They gave them more "character" in the first years.

@@stillkickinmusic Thank you very much.
I'm not big on relics, so I was thinking of a Vintera II 50's Nocaster. Have you checked out one of those?
Hey unfortunately have not got my hands on one yet. If you try one out, let me know what it's like!

They usually sell around $1200

That's very unfortunate and doesn't seem right does it? Sometimes seems like Gibson has lost a step, or resting on their laurels, etc.
