    On this episode of DDP's Tape Appetizers : Phil takes a deep dive into the offense and issues an all point bulletin regarding the center Sam Mustipher, Left Tackle Braxton Jones and Left Guard Lucas Patrick. How bad is the pass pro and of course how this offensive line effects the QB performance. It’s the chicken or the egg for most. But fields steps up in the face of a terrible o-line performance. The offensive line takes a step back. Velus not coached well enough to understand the moment and the fundamentals. Cole Kmett takes a solid step back as a blocker. . After this appetizer there is plenty of room for improvement on both sides of the ball. A offensive look at the Bears this week.
    Please be advised, We like to study tape with truth not sunshine and rainbows. If it is the truth in fundamentals that you want? Then you are always invited into the TTNL family. Great breakdowns! Kurt Warner was talking about fields’ throwing motion recently. I don’t think he was expecting an out cut. I think it was just a bad pass

      Seriously. I'm gonna be a little ticked off if Mustipher is still at C the next game. Put Patrick there. That's what we brought him here to play. I don't care who they put at LG as long as it's not Mustipher. Can't possibly be as bad what we've seen out of Patrick who I'll still give a slight pass to considering he's behind everyone else due to the surgery and not playing his actual position. We need to see what he can do at C.

    around the 6:40 mark if you slow the video down I see the tight end hits the side of his foot knocking Borom off balance on that one... but I don't understand why Lucas is playing guard if they had all intention when they signed him that he would play center. Sam isn't a center at all and they talked Jones up so much during preseason and OTAs that when u actually see him play you wonder what exactly did they see during those practices.

    • @dmoe4040

      Lucas had hand surgery that’s why he’s not playing center right away there all out of there naturally positions the he cleat Jenkins is a RT not a RG but that’s when coaching kicks in you gotta work with what you got but I don’t expect any body to come back next year but lucas and Jenkins they gone let the rest go

    2:17 mark: Nobody blocks the end.
    That must be a staple with this offense because we do it on countless plays. It doesn’t matter if it’s their best player or not. It’s been like that all season multiple times a game.

    Wow....I think this is the first time I disagree here....the pick Justin made the right read, someone's helmet just got in the way. My question is on the concept. Cleary his first read on this play is Kmet, who had a step and inside leverage so he ripped it, that's the right play, no reason to go beyond it when its open. Were I see the problem is why run a clear out for ESB as the 2nd read? This gives the defense more time to react to it, making it less free, ESB should have been first read there

    • @A2theJ9
      @A2theJ9 Год назад +1

      Who can watch this and say Fields is a bust? Fields is the problem people tell me. He isn't staying in the pocket and going through his reads LOL. In my head I'm thinking you wanna sit in the pocket while 300lb+ monsters are sprinting at you from multiple angles while you survey the field hoping one guy that actually gets open will catch the ball if you hit him in the hands? People see him run so much and fail to realize that most of the time it's out of necessity. Sure he leaves a clean pocket every once in a while but can you blame him? We see how quickly these guys can get beat. It can be clean one instant and a complete breakdown the next. Until he gets better protection I don't mind him leaving the pocket after holding the ball a certain amount of time.

      @@A2theJ9 if that's the case why bring Patrick in as a free agent & specifically at Center? He had been taking 1st team reps, meeting with media because he was the starting Center! Is he some exceptional guy at that position? No but from the tape I seen he is better then Mustipher! Schofield didn't have a bad night at LG so if they don't make that change I don't understand WTF Flus is thinking! It isn't just him, Jones & Borom isn't very good either. Jones just isn't ready & you can't develop guys at the expense of your QB! Mustipher has been so freaking bad I'd go as far as to put in Dieter for a couple games if they're against putting in Patrick. I honestly don't see how it gets worse at Center?? All I know is when things are going this bad, you can't just keep doing the same thing over & over again.. Mustipher has started 2 years of games, give or take & he isn't getting any better. Infact I think it's worse because other teams know he is so weak & that's the 1st place they know to attack. Unfortunately it's the fastest route to the QB, not good at all.

    A lot of talk about the line.......Daniels starts for Pitt and Barr for the Raiders.....bet they would like to have one of them now. Mitch looked good with some blocking and guys who can catch...Plus a good plan to fit his skills. He lost 2 years playing for the Bears .Had they tried to build a team around him after the winning season and a play-off bid, instead off setting him up to fail ,we may have been in a better spot than we are now. I and some other s thought Fields should sit until there was the personnel to help him.. But nooooooo, the fans, media and club thought they could have a winner now., so play Fields.....well how has that worked out.Bears fans and Club reaped what they sowed. Bears fan 67 years
