So, this song was made as a soundtrack for one of the first action tv hit shows in Romania back in the day, called Baieti Buni which literally means "goodfellas". This joint right here was on fire and still is when they jam it in the clubs. And believe me, they do it often because everyone has a nostalgic in them and especially older heads like myself, we came from this then we diversified to USA hiphop, LA and NY and even french one. Related to the tv series, what you see in the video are actual scenes from the movie so those are actors and those guns are from the action scenes. One of the main character is called Ciupanezu and in the movie is like an underground mob drug lord from Bucharest, i had the pleasure to massage him while i was working at a hotel some years ago and we talked about the movie and his acting life. He said it was a big hit and changed television movies here back then. He is also a judge in the Voice of Romania now because he s a famous singer here, Stefan Banica Jr, kinda like a romanian Elvys Presley. Lol. But i recommend you watch the series, it s old but fun

Yo, I took my time to translate the lyrics. In case you wondered what the story is. Here you go: B. U. G. Mafia - THE STREETS 1. It's the place where you have no courage and you'd not even want to, It's possible to kick ass but likely to get yours kicked too, Cuz such trickery only in Las Vegas you'd see as well And how some guys turn into whores over night You wouldn't believe! It's Romania's capital city, It's Bucharest! It's a lot more than that, it's about proving yourself, It's them romanian men and women, them gypsy men and women, The government, the money, the police and the thugs, The jail and the years, the quarter and its veterans, The kids and the drugs, the weapons and the blocks, You gotta understand the bussiness, bro! On the streets you'll find all of these - combined. All mixed over the top, it's tough But here we do our jobs, and here you'll be with us forever. There's no advice to be given and no contract to sign, We're mafia for life, brothers, in fact. Chorus: You can pray all you want For miracles to happen, But you reap just what you sow, So better run, run Before the good guys come! 2. I'm presenting radical solutions, like all the good guys Who raised empires on illegal bussinesses Cuz on the streets you can get lethally wounded When the weapons smile under the street's lights. Motherfuckers keep snitching and breaking everything apart And the true leaders are now dying out like a flower Forgotten in a corner of sun at the flower shop And the police is taking pride in having caught a huge fish, yeah... There's a chain reaction, the police men lie in ditches, We got extraordinary demissions one after another As the next candidate to the throne Sneaks his way through cemented walls And takes everything for his own. I'm sure as can be that you can rely solely on yourself. The cops don't really like me, but whatever! The latin blood running through my veins Makes me act like Al Capone, you know damn well! Chorus x2 3. Back in the days of fairy-tales Humans made the law, And that's when the parts have been defined And the cards have been dealt. That's when conflict changed its weapons To take the targets down And the armour nowadays Is represented by bullet-proof vests But even so, blood keeps getting shed... This video is from a movie series called "Baieti buni". That is why you see so much violence. Is about the capital underground, bad people to mess with. The connections are going up to politics. There was someone below telling you that you should try to understand the words first and you will like it more :-D. However BUG is a group of three guys the first one is Uzzi , the second is Cady(Caddildac) and the last one is also the producer Tataie (Tata Vlad). The guy that actually sings not raping in this video is Mario. They are indeed old school. This year they have released only another featuring "8 zile din 7" with a Romanian singer called Ami. They don't even have a video yet for it. I also noticed that there are some guys asking for your reaction to it.
wou man nice reactions , I am Romanian and I am glad to see these things, the truth is that it music like those of before few today! , B.U.G mafia, one of the few to tell the truth, about politicians and how people live on the street, and this music is still as good as on the first day, LUCK WITH YOUR CHANNEL
These guys are the number one in Romania. The song features a Romanian series movie called "GOOD GUYS", so the video you see is mainly from that movie. The main words of the song are reflecting government corruption versus street life - basically speaking the truth of Romania, which is one of the most corrupted countries where the government is making the law in that way so they can steal and to be untouchable.
This is an old school melodi from B.U.G MAFIA! and one of the best!! 2000,s was hard years for us...and the song look how was it!! Guns ,drugs, mafia man...etc!!
This is how we Romanians in general are! good at everything we do, the best, each in his field and yet no one wants us, despises us everywhere in the world because of those who do nonsense ... But what foreigners do not want to understand is that not all Romanians are the same ..., we are not as you call us: gypsies !!! you should understand once and for all !!!
One of the best...!! I'm in my 40's and this song still makes me sing along and shout out loud...!! ❤❤so proud of my country's talented long time rappers...! If you could understand...oh! Pure rap, love it! Song is called Streets.

BUG Mafia never die as music clicked up from Tupac music style, it's history telling the truth in Romanian style music, also succesfuly over years. Telling the truth about news and reallity, BUG Mafia is the only one who is free to tell the truth in words. They will never die because they will reborn everytime we're all press the play button.
As a romanian, being born in '86 in one of the big towns I can tell you that I grew up in a jungle until I've turned 20 and left the hood for downtown. There were fights everywere all day long, it was dangerous to hang in other neighborhood day or night. So we had fights with or without weapons but the weapons were usualy knifes, bats, hatchets. Also we had prostitution, drugs (mostly weed),gambling games at every corner (barbut), ex-convicts and hip hop as a guideline. I grew up litening to Bucuresti Underground Mafia and used to know every word in every album. Now, most of that is gone, the lyrics do not apply anymore and what is left of that is a horror story that kids nowdays don't belive or understand
Man, I wish you understood romanian, because if you understood the lyrics you'd get goosebumps! The flow and beat is crazy, but coupled with the lyrics it's on another level entirely.
I used to listen to this song way back and it speaks about some ugly truths that happen on the streets...on some streets...who is Romanian knows. However this group is one of the first rap / hip hop bands in Romania - their name in full is Big Underground Mafia. Really enjoyable to see you listening to this. Music is the true language...trans-generational and intercultural language! You take care and enjoy! Thanks @ChemistReacts

B. U. G. Mafia - THE STREETS

It's possible to kick ass but likely to get yours kicked too,
Cuz such trickery only in Las Vegas you'd see as well
And how some guys turn into whores over night

On the streets you'll find all of these - combined.
All mixed over the top, it's tough
But here we do our jobs, and here you'll be with us forever.
There's no advice to be given and no contract to sign,
We're mafia for life, brothers, in fact.
Chorus:
You can pray all you want
For miracles to happen,
But you reap just what you sow,
So better run, run
Before the good guys come!
2. I'm presenting radical solutions, like all the good guys
Who raised empires on illegal bussinesses
Cuz on the streets you can get lethally wounded
When the weapons smile under the street's lights.
Motherfuckers keep snitching and breaking everything apart
And the true leaders are now dying out like a flower
Forgotten in a corner of sun at the flower shop
And the police is taking pride in having caught a huge fish, yeah...
There's a chain reaction, the police men lie in ditches,
We got extraordinary demissions one after another
As the next candidate to the throne
Sneaks his way through cemented walls
And takes everything for his own.
I'm sure as can be that you can rely solely on yourself.
The cops don't really like me, but whatever!
The latin blood running through my veins
Makes me act like Al Capone, you know damn well!
Chorus x2
3. Back in the days of fairy-tales
Humans made the law,
And that's when the parts have been defined
And the cards have been dealt.
That's when conflict changed its weapons
To take the targets down
And the armour nowadays
Is represented by bullet-proof vests
But even so, blood keeps getting shed...
Somber images are presenting the news
And lately they've been using voices,
DNA tests and papers
But yet I see no sign
Of the war ever stopping -
Police is still gathering its forces
To try to take our streets away
"Goodluck trying next year"
Is what to them I say!
Chorus x2
many sayings so it's hard to translate to english .. some parts make no sense..

This scenes in the video are from a series called „Băieți buni” .
Hello man! I'm glad you like our music from Romania =)) I'm still waiting for reactions. success!
Mafia pe viata! ❤️
😂🤣😅😂😂🤣😅
When the hip hop in Romania was real, not like that we have in these days...
Best of Romania Rapp hip hop 😬❤
This is the OST from an old gangster series
Love it, just ☮️ from Romania
Man, I wish you understood romanian, because if you understood the lyrics you'd get goosebumps! The flow and beat is crazy, but coupled with the lyrics it's on another level entirely.
love your passion for music man. respect
learn Romanian and you will discover some lyrics that will amaze you
Respect Romania!❤️❤️🇷🇴🇷🇴
Ooooooo. BUG, cei mai buni :D
BUG Mafia are the 3 titans tho...their songs are a whole vibe with strong messages and stories
Do more romanian reaction and you will get more subscribers bro! Anyways you have a lot of bands rap hip-hop to discover big up✌
I used to listen to this song way back and it speaks about some ugly truths that happen on the streets...on some streets...who is Romanian knows. However this group is one of the first rap / hip hop bands in Romania - their name in full is Big Underground Mafia. Really enjoyable to see you listening to this. Music is the true language...trans-generational and intercultural language! You take care and enjoy! Thanks @ChemistReacts
Brothers, shmenarii, peshtii, thieves
Drug addicts, bitches, bastards, everyone knows
The curtain won't fall even if they make me a coffin
Because then I'll be alive,
Through you I know how to put the street on CD
To be or not to be
In the neighborhood, poetry is his life, lyrics are money
The days go by, the years go by? as soon as possible
Unlimited future, you can kill no one to know
Is that how it was and how it will be? always
Forever, the amount counts on the street
And you don't have everything you need to respect
Nobody wants to work on 50 bucks now
The standard of living, you have to steal it
If you are smart, you may be free to enjoy
I dedicate what I do to you if you hang on to a thread
And stand as part of life poetry.
Chorus:
I chose to do this, it was nothing else
And I want to make money otherwise it makes no sense.
II:
It is said: no future for the scum on the street
Nothing for them nothing, let it fall
Banica didn't want to go to the pushcarie either
But it's not always the way you want it to be
Especially if you don't do anything for yourself
Especially if you do more harm than good? t good
Does it hurt? n *** about the law, but stop!
The law in the neighborhood leaves nothing at all
I chose to do this because it was nothing else
And I'm going to make money from it because otherwise it doesn't make sense
No pop, no rock, no r'n'b
No disguised gabors and pretentious bitches
I have a lot to do and a lot to do
So I'm not going to talk about fools, just? i ***
My boys are everything, I represent Pantelimon
Dedicated to all of Romania, g-Yeah!
Chorus: ..
I chose to do this, it was nothing else
And I want to make money otherwise it makes no sense.
IV:
I have no pact with the devil, but with God
You can call me borfash, vagabond, naughty
You can tell me how you want me not to care
Those I love are waiting for me at home
If it's about race then I say I'm Latin
Once again for the tramps who support me
Sirens are heard in the neighborhood
The guard comes to put us behind the iron bars
I only have love for my daughter Diana
For Chifla and Luana, for Uzzi and Liana
Tataee taught me to put the first verse on the sheet
Always forever in the family
It is known, we are hardly on the slice again
Go somewhere for a concert in the country
It's evening, your children are on the street again
And they are part of this dirty business
Neighborhood boys are tempted to do a lot
Luckily someone up there listened to them
I raise another glass and bow to the neighborhood
With my boys here on another level.
Chorus: ..
I chose to do this, it was nothing else
And I want to make money otherwise it makes no sense. (x2): ..Brothers, shmenarii, peshtii, thieves
