- A short soundclip of my 2013 G37x Sedan with a custom muffler delete. I used ARK 4.5" tips with 2.5" piping. Stock cats, y-pipe and mid pipe. Only deleted the axle back mufflers.
Sounds great! I will be going this way very soon.

where did you get the 2.5 piping? I've tried looking everywhere but i cant find any that fit my g37
My local muffler shop cut and welded it to fit. Typically any muffler shop will have some
What length tips are these? Love the sound btw! I see there is 6 inch and 7.75 inch length for the 2.5 inlet 4.5 outlet resonated tips. Thanks bro!
These are the 7.75" version
How come you went with 2.5 piping and not 2.25 like the factory? Thinking of doing this
+latino914 The tips I used have a 2.5" inlet so I didn't want to use reduces to make them fit
Ok cool, I see that you had the muffler cut off, but doesn't the muffler come off at those flanges. I.know some people just have a flange welded on that way when they want to go back to stock it's just a bolt on bolt off process.
+latino914 thats exactly what i did. Bought a set of used mufflers and welded the muffler delete to the flanges so they unbolt easily
I took out my mufflers on my 2010 X and it drones a lot between 1k-2k rpm at light throttle, does putting a straight pipe remove the drone?
It helps a little bit but there will still be a slight drone
A straight pipe is extremely loud lol hope u didnt put one on to reduce drone 💀💀💀

Is this the X model or one of the others, cuz im looking for an exhaust system for my g37 but catbacks are real hard to find for the X

Did you loose a lot of back pressure by doing the delete ?
No
Hows the performance with the muffler delete?
It isn't that noticeable. IMO the throttle feels slightly more responsive but that is about it. I never dyno'd the car

@@just_a5.7 that's the problem. Both of you are going by "feel" without back to back dyno runs we don't know if there are actually any changes in power. It's also possible a tune is needed to correct for the lower back pressure and free flow. Without it the ECU still thinks it's all stock and not optimized to work like that.
is this standard or auto? just curious. really looking forward to getting one of these soon. most likely an automatic and then planning on modding the exhaust. great sound, btw!
Thanks man! It is a 7AT so automatic. It has broken it slightly and sounds slightly louder now

I liked it. It is a inexpensive way to increase sound. There was a mild drone between 2.5k-3k RPM's. To answer your question though, yes i did sell the axleback. It is significantly cheap to replicate and make though.
