Oh man, I love Gorod! They're super groovy and very progressive in very unexpected ways. Their song Transcendence is easily one of my favorite death metal tracks of all time.
Whahaha, surprised that you don't like this one. Not many surprises you say. That's okay. Listen again and get surprised by the bassline, the keychanges and changes of pace. Jazzy bassline and tight and pure (not overproduced) guitarplaying. I agree on you with the singing. You can love it, you can hate it, but I think in combination with this style of music it fits very well. See you at Into the Grave for sure. Cheers🍺🤘

Some of it reminds me of Animals as Leaders
Love the jazz fusion approach to extreme metal…never thought I would hear it!
Would have been better as an instrumental…without the vocals?
Personally, for me, I really dig the vocals, feel like the song wouldn't be as good without em.
Gorod does not get the appreciation they deserve. Not sure why they got overshadowed...perhaps doing their thing while the Faceless was still popular?
