As if Australia isn't scary enough with some of the most deadly snakes and spiders...! I don't know which of these ten is the scariest, but the elephant humanoid is probably the strangest cryptic I've ever heard of ! Also, very sorry for your loss .
I live in Perth and hadn't even heard of that flying creature until now. Only crazy ferals I've ever seen are found in Northbridge on a Saturday Night. LOL
This is why I love the topic of cryptids so much. Even if many are cautionary tales it still is a good bit of history to keep around. Not only that but who doesn't love a good creature story?
I'm a more recent subscriber - and wanted to say how much I REALLY enjoy your videos!!! I've been binge watching your content over the past week - and appreciate all the research and hard work you've done to make such awesome videos! Keep up the great work!!!
I live in the northern suburbs of south Australia and in one of the local industrial suburbs there is a not so well known legend of the howie man, a half man half wolf hybrid who lives in the large drain pipes/system (not sure what to call them but they're big enough to walk in and go on for miles) he has red eyes, about as big as a grown man and is very hairy and fast, I know a few people who claim to have seen him, some say they were exploring the pipes and were chased out by him
There is a story from Turkey Creek about an old station hand that killed a Yowie type creature when it startled his horse and the bloke took on the creature's life span/force. This old boy later became a famous painter that lived to be around 120 years old. Which is over twice the expected life span for Indigenous Australian men. I met him whilst staying at the old persons home he lived at with friends family that ran it. He had an aura around him, I was young but perceptive and there was just something different about him. Good work Ben dude.
She did... he helped her show start and she carried it on after his death...It's not really aired across the planet as most hoped though. And she's quite the host for a show, her mom helps her a lot in the show. Whether it's still on the air or not is beyond me.
Good video, Ben. Makes me think twice about visiting the land down under. Strewth! I wouldn't want to encounter the flying creature from Perth! Death from above....or at least massive droppings from above.
Thank you for showing that picture at 9:49 I have literally been searching the whole internet for it to show my daughter when she was recently asking about the yowie
Thank you for making this wonderfully entertaining set of videos. (Really all of your videos are interesting, but I especially enjoyed these Australian ones.) Personally, while I would love a chance to witness some of Australia's cryptids for myself, the one that I would be the most frightened to encounter would have to be the modern-day T-rex creature. 30 feet tall? Hell, no! Best of luck with everything! --N
With regards to the Yowie, I've always suspected that they could actually be feral humans, as in humans who might have been abandoned as children and grew up in the wild. Such things have been known to happen.
I will add it to the list and am going to try hard to make it happen in the next few weeks. I try to switch up topics every week sort of like cryptids, aliens/UFOs, hauntings, and back to cryptids. I like to keep things fresh in that way. Rest assured though I will make your request happen.
I have a question for you. Do you consider extinct but still sighted creatures ( the two that come to mind in Australia are the thylacine, more commonly known as the Tasmanian tiger and Megalania) as cryptids? I ask because some experts do claim them as such but some do not. And if you do, would you consider this a topic for a future video ( extinct but still alive)? PS You have my deepest condolences for your family's loss
you have my sympathy over the passing of your wife's grandfather, but just remember that he's young, healthy, and at peace with God in Heaven, and his longevity is to be celebrated. my condolences.

Oh I agree Ben. I love a good cryptid story and I firmly believe there are strange unknown creatures out there.

Love the channel. you have such a mellow tone😊 Also, condolences.
Can you imagine if Steve Irwin had lived to make a show looking for cryptids? lol
Oh that would have been awesome! His death was such a great loss. TV hasn't been the same without him.
I'm hoping his daughter'll carry on the torch

You may be on to something there. I have always been curious if a lot of humanoid cryptid sightings couldn't just be people that look different.
hi Ben love your videos it would be really great if you do one about new Zealand. would make my whole year thanks

Where do you draw the line between cryptids and myth?
The Kangaroo is kind of like a Deer mixed with a T Rex.
So, Ganesh vacations in Australia?
Honestly when I was reading about that cryptid I couldn't help but think about that as well.

So many water-dwelling ones. Definitely mis-identified croc attacks/warning stories.
