  • Hello ladies and gents!
    Today I am bringing a slightly different video - I had some spare time so I figured it was time to make a review. About 2 weeks ago, I purchased the 60W Boss Acoustic Singer Live amplifier. I am beyond impressed with this rig.
    In this video, I will cover some of the main features, such as the looper, anti-feedback notch, and the reverb/chorus functions.
    Comment, like, subscribe, or share with a friend! Any support would be great. I am fairly new to review videos but it was a lot of fun making this.
    Equipment used for video:
    Camera: Canon Rebel T3i
    Lavelier Microphone: YouMic
    Microphone #2: Blue Snowball
    Amplifier: Boss Acoustic Singer Live
    Guitar: Takamine G Series Acoustic

    A very straight forward video without all the hype that 99% of the other ones do. Thank you. I appreciate your honesty & knowledgeable video. I'm planning on buying the larger one in about a month

    I'm an amateur player, still learning new things everyday. I purchased the 120 watt Pro two months ago. I love it!

    🔵 thanks güdd review❕
    🔵 nice fingerstyle too 🐸
    update: after extensive virtual reviewing for an acoustic amp in the +-500$ range , i've narrowed it down to these preferences (i) Marshall AS50D , (ii) Loudbox mini w/bluetooth , (iii) Fender Acoustic 100 , and (iv) the Boss Singer Live seems worth serious consideration 😉
    🔵 update: i've decided on and obtained the Marshall AS50D w/positive zero regret ❕💙

    Nice review.
    The "Phase" button is not to turn on Chorus, but to control feedback along with the Anti-Feedback knob.
    Manual says to use the Phase button first before the Anti-Feedback knob.

    What about just using the "acoustic" model on a Boss Katana? I'm actually a violinist using electric fiddle through the 2x12 Katana and it's the best amp I've ever played through. My acoustic guitars sounds great on that model obviously too.

    The Fishman is pretty much the best I've used for both vocals and instrument.

      The Acoustic Singer Pro is way more versatile than the Fishman and offers fantastic sound quality for guitar and vocals. I've been using it live for about a year and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Like any amp you'll just need to spend a bit of time getting to know the controls really well.

    And it never got the low end bass response I’d be looking for in an acoustic setting? The high strings sounded great?!! But not the lower strings?

      In-person I feel that the bass frequencies are really good! It's just hard to capture over video.

    Boss vs Fishman?

    • @michaelbalance98
      @michaelbalance98 4 года назад +2

      After hearing how this amp sounds in multiple videos, I would say the Boss wins, or at least proves to be an excellent rival to the Fishman. The Boss has more flexibility and unique options that you normally wouldn't find on an acoustic amp, such as the acoustic resonance switch, harmonizer, and looper. The anti-feedback notch, reverbs, delays, and choruses are getting, in my opinion, more and more common on a lot of acoustic amps.

    What about a Foot Controller for the Boss Acoustic singer amp series?
    Foot control for Guitar and Mic effects?

    • @davidsykes2987
      @davidsykes2987 5 лет назад +1

      The Boss (or Roland) GA-FC works really well with the Acoustic Singer amps which will turn on/off the DELAY/ECHO, REVERB and HARMONY on the mic channel as well as the CHORUS and REVERB on the guitar channel. There is also a MUTE button which cuts everything. You can also use a Boss FS-5U to control the LOOPER which, in all honesty, is the only way to control the LOOPER in a live situation. I also use a volume pedal to control the vocal HARMONY level which is great when you're live and another volume pedal to control my guitar volume. I've been using this setup with my Acoustic Singer Pro for about a year now with all my controls mounted on a pedalboard and it works really well. It's a fantastic bit of kit and if I lost mine I'd go straight out and buy another.... way more versatile than anything else on the Acoustic Amp market including the Fishman.

      David, thanks for the note. I play out as well and have been searching for a way to turn on/off ‘specific effects during a song on the Boss Acoustic Singer. I thought i hit a gold mine when i saw the FC-GC configured specifically for this purpose on the Boss Acoustic Singer. Check out the link below and my comments..By the way the Boss Rep has been contacted about this in the hopes of providing an alternative pedal..Boss may be hesitating for fear the Acoustic Singer with this pedal might cannibalize Katana sales with this pedal.. anyway, check out the link below.
      Look at the segment at 1 min 10 sec to 1 min 15 seconds in this second clip..
      ruclips.net/video/D_7vMMTy8No/видео.html
      “The Foot Controller in this video is the Boss FC-GC. It is the controller Boss uses for the Boss Katana BUT it is currently only configured for the Katana. This video shows the FC-G. configured for use with The Boss Acoustic Singer Live and Pro amp series. Boss is ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL for not offering this same pedal for use with the Boss Acoustic Singer amp series. Lack of this pedal has kept me from buying the Pro. They could sell so many of these amps with this pedal configured for the Boss Acoustic Singer amp series!!”

      Hey Shelly! Thanks for reaching out. I've heard the Shure SM58 is really good for vocals. It's largely been the industry go to so it could mesh well with this amp.
