Great work guys. Not easy. But, you could have done some analysis on this data and plotted some graphs to actually get the idea of delta. 1. City 2. Highway 3.Uphill 4. Downhill Anyways , Thank you.
EVs need a really different driving habit. I have 2 XUV400 during first 2 months I was getting 260 to 280km range. But now after 10 months I am getting 350 to 360km in Fast/City and fearless/Sport mode. Also I never drive with Fun/eco mode now😅.
@@manikishore Bro Tell me what you want to know 😃. If about range ,After using an EV for a year we will know a different driving style. Also in day to day use We will not get that range as we don't care about it. In my experience as Fun mode has more regen it will reduce our speed very quickly in highways after leaving the acceleration and also will not give much charge back. So using Fast in city and Fearless in highways feels giving a lot more range. Just my Observation. And it's not for all cars. Only XUV400 has The drive mode based Regen level and if we need more regen in The higher mode we will use the L mode(High regen mode, applicable in all modes for extra regen) After loving driving the car with these fast and Fearless mode we will not longer use the Fun mode as it feels lagging 😂.
Not body shaming, but i guess that should be more accurate, as that allows for taking into extra or important/essential luggage people may carry with them everyday. People online may not agree but don't think people anywhere, in this world would do 300km+ everyday (not counting commercial of course). Its more than enough range & if people think its not enough, you either pay more for expensive EV's or wait for 5-6 years until battery tech improves even more or price drops even further & the charging infrastructure improves even further.
Best on ground analysis of an ev so far. Considering the travel cost per person the drop in range doesn't seem too concerning. How the load affects the battery health in long term life is remains to be seen.
Finally. Honestly, range test is important for a an EV, but range test with full load is importanter 😂 Glad ZW listens to its viewer every now and then. Someting like this is a very practical test for a country with mostly one-car garage. 4:48 I completely agree with you here but also, I have been on the other side too. Let me explain, I do the Mysore-Madikeri stretch quite often. Traffic these days makes it mostly like driving in the city (its worse on the weekends) . And more often than not, there is always that one _______ guy who decides to drive at 40kmph or less on a two-lane highway with almost non-stop traffic from opp side. So, in most cases its impossible to overtake without putting oncoming traffic in danger. Couple of times these people are on phone or even video call, with almost a km traffic stuck behind them and once I overtake them, in some cases I haven't seen even a single vehicle ahead of them for almost 2kms or more. They wont drive faster, but they also wont give way. So yes, I have been that a-hole with flashing lights, honking away to glory. But unlike your case, not without reason. Why bring this up here? Well, like you said, something like this does lead to accidents. While respecting the traffic ahead is very much needed, It is also important to give way and no hold-up traffic for absolutely no reason than spite. From the looks of it, I think in your case that guy was just being an ass in heavy traffic though.
I think all transport companies should do there ARAI and range test should be done with all passengers in the car Ac on and a full boot, because that will give us a realistic idea of how much the car will give us.
Thanks for your efforts. Don't just believe the numbers which is given by car manufacturers, this is why your team is outstanding from the description readers RUclips channels
You can do this test for Petrol cars also. Mileage test/acceleration test etc. And can you please do acceleration test between altroz(safer car), vs baleno or I20 by matching total weight of the car. If altrox weights 100kgs more then add around 100 kg (people or luggage in other car)
I don't get why companies don't make a smaller ev vehicle for 2 passengers in the form factor of a bike but covered. 4 out of 5 cars in Bangalore have single passengers commuting to office and its an incredibly wasted opportunity
A suggestion. You could teach the BMS what is the bottom of the battery pack, once. Otherwise the BMS is just guessing what the bottom limit is. Once the BMS learns where actual 0, 1, 2% of the battery is, the car will give you accurate output then on.
